RE: NEW KMP 95
Mine had 645 or 625MGs mostly, with a 5955TG on elevator... The surfaces are pretty small, so each servo is not doing a LOT of work... Good quality servos will keep her flying for a long time!

RE: F-82 Twin Mustang
Just make a constant chord center section that ends at the outboard fuse side. Also the F-82 will use 90-deg retracts instead of 85-deg since they are under the outboard edge of the fuses and there is no dihedral right there.

RE: F-82 Twin Mustang
Just take a look at the three views. No inboard crank on the wing because the gear goes into the wing center section which is plenty wide. It makes for easy cutting of wing cores!

RE: TERRIFIC TWINS (or MORE!) PICS - SCALE ONLY PLEASE!!!
Heres my latest: All foam 4-motored EDF Flies on a single 4S 5300 liPo. About 50" or so. Even has the cargo door to toss out poop-a-troopers! I added a top hatch for battery access because the stock way is to go throught the nose gear aera. CHEESY! I also took the gear off because we fly off of grass, so I just faired over the landing gear wells, added a tow hook at the nose gear location, and away we went! She bungee launches perfectly from the grass every time. Beautiful and fairly fast in the air - for a big ol porker! Enjoy!

Sorry for the negative outcome on your first attempt. Hate to say we told you so but, we told you so!!! I've spent a fortune on Sierras for my KMP birds, but one thing I have NO worries over is whether the gear will operate every time. The ESM/KMP originals are all and they know it. Designed for 60-sized singles, they are overwhelmed on a 28-lb Twin Warbird. Ive got MANY pictures of gear just like yours. Shame on them for selling junk

RE: F-82 Twin Mustang
ORIGINAL: Leadtrumpet I have always loved the look of the F-82 so I took two .60 size TopFlight p-51 kits and did a little building! I did not lengthen the fuselage for the proper scale outline but it will fool most guys at the field. I powered it with two Zenoah G20's I have only had two flights due to some issues with the ignition of one of the motors. I have the fixed engine back now and I hope to put some more flights on it soon! The last picture is of the F-82 sitting next to my 1/4 scale Balsa USA DR-1
Nice job on the Betty Joe! I flew RC with Col. Thacker back when I lived in northern CA. Quite an honor. I've drooled on the full scale article several times. Always a treat! Keep the twin spirit going! Wally

RE: NEW KMP 95
The re-furb of Betty´s Dream was completed over the "winter". This included new CJM Gear (Thanks Tomas @ vqwarbirds.com !) and a cosmetic freshening. We flew her at a crawfish boil in April and she was beautiful in the air and simple to fly. One interesting little bit of news is that the full-scale Dream has been purchased and is now based in Houston @ Ellington Field. I hope to take my Dream over to have a Photo session with mamma! RE: My parkzone HABU
Go with the Habu - for sure. Especially for the $$$ Habu is an easy handlaunch (or takes off from grass just fine if you can stand the look of wheels hanging down). No bungee needed for Habu! Habu is also an easy 5-cell upgrade with just an 80-A ESC change. INcredible performance and LOTS of vertical vs the 4-cells, and, especially vs the F-86. I may see if I can stuff a 5-cell into the F-86 to see what happens because it is a very "trainer" like flyer with the stock power.... By the way- if you are worried about longevity, my Habu has over a hundred flights and probably 50 with the 5-C upgrade - so no worries there! Just my.02c worth!

HANGAR 9 BEAST
Has anyone else finished their H-9 100cc Beast? I can't believe how quiet this airplane has been on the forums. I can't find ONE listing with it on any of the different sites (RCG, RCU, F.G.) I finished and maidened mine today. What a quality piece of work the Beast is. I have owned several giant scale IMAC style of airplanes, from the early Goldberg Extra 300 to the Aeroworks 100cc Extra 260 to a 42% Yak 54, but the Beast is the highest quality airplane I've ever assembled. The covering is virtually perfect and sag free. The paint matches the covering very well. The cowling is pre-drilled for mount bolts and every part fit exactly and perfectly. The longest part of the assembly was the tail, since it has the 8-flying wires that have to be made up. I'd bet mine was done in under 18-hours. In fact, this is the first airplane I've ever owned that I used EVERY nut, bolt, screw and piece of hardware that came in the box to assemble it. I didn't substitute ONE thing! When the airplane was finished, both boxes were completely empty.... WOW! The only thing that wierded me out was the way they say to balance the airplane: the instructions say to balance it under the bottom of the bottom wing (with the airplane up-right) about 63mm from the leading edge. I called H9 and Horizon for clarification because I've NEVER heard of doing it this way. All the feedback I could get said to "just do it that way", so I did. I set the tailwheel on a foam stand in order to get the plane level. Next two of us put a finger under a rib on the bottom wings at the 63mm mark. When we lifted it up, it went very gently to the nose, so I went with that as a starting point. Turns out, it is a good place to start as the Beast was a perfect flyer from the word go! We had a few VERY helpful pairs of eyes at the field to assist me in getting the little issues of my set-up all ironed out, then away I went. The take off was straight and true - as soon as I got to about 1/4 throttle the tail was coming up and by the time I got to 1/2 I just eased back on the elevator stick and away she flew. I could tell right away the it is a GREAT airplane - just a do-what-you-tell-it-to-do baby! The first flight I was totally comfortable with loops, rolls and spins. Knife edge is a breeze (I didn't even put in the mixes that the manual calls for yet) and this baby will do a knife edge loop without even breathing hard! I put the new DA120 with a Mezlik 28/12 prop on mine and it is very suitably powered. If you've dealt with one, please post your thoughts here. I would like to hear from other owners/prospective owners. We did a video (I'm no QuiQue - that's for sure!), so I will see if it will upload tonight... Thanks!
