RE: Ziroli DC-3
Hi, I bought 2 x 42cc 3W engines for this plane. Was told to forget it and go for G38. I took their advice and bought 2 G38 but then when it came to fitting them out you get the ugly cylinder head sticking out of thew cowl. Then I shelved the plane until I could find a good engine compromise. Maybe a large electric motor may solve the problem but then you may be missing out of the sound. Every which way but loose :( Reuben

RE: Decal maker
Hi FenderBean In order to resize images without loosing resolution of the image one would have to convert the image to vector format as raster images (jpg/bmp/tif etc) start to loose resolution if enlarged by a multiple of times. For this reason Coreldraw and Photoshop and Illustrator can be used to convert images. If you are subscribed to Jetpower magazine there were a number of articles covering this topic. Here is an example of the Greek Corsair which i am sure you know. The pirate image has been enlarged and then converted to vector format. The latter can be enlarged to any size without any loss in resolution. Hope this helps. Reuben

RE: OS FF-320 pegasus
Hi JariV, What size of propellor did you use to break-in the engine and also for standard running. I have one which is still boxed and plan to use it on a 100" (2.53m) T-34A Mentor which is still under construction. Regards Reuben

Can one order from their normal website and have it sent out from UK rather than China or Hong Kong or from wherever they normally ship from ?

RE: giant scale tri-pacer
Cool thanks RLT. I am trying to give this plane a shot designing it from scratch. I like this plane. I had a Clipped Wing SIG Cub before and it flew great. This plane should have the same flying characteristics as Cub. Presently I have my hand full on another project so I might do it parttime. Thanks again Reuben

RE: CASA C101: Made in Spain
Hello Carlos, Yes I am following this thread because I love the CASA C-101. Wonderful plane! Unfortunately, this plane is not quite well known by kit manufacturers but I am sure that one day a large version of this plane will be made available as well. As for the T-34 the project is still on and at an advanced stage. I had many other mini projects connected to this main project including a vacuum bagging system and also a vacuum forming system done concurrently. Thank God a large part of the aluminum metal work is done. However, I still have the cowl and canopy to cover. Will load some pictures at a later stage and let you know its location outside this thread. Meanwhile, I shall keep on the look out for more photos on this project. I am really interested in this construction thread. If you know the builder please extend my congratulations for such an interesting build. Regards Reuben

RE: OS FF-320 pegasus
Hi, I just bought an FF-320 Pegasus engine and it is on its way. I am still undecided as to which ignition system to use. I wish to ask our European friends if the Microsens unit comes with glowplug attachments or not. I believe the Sonictronics/MCDaniel unit does come with the plug attachments. Also, from your experience, what is the best sized prop for this engine. I plan to have it installed in a 100" Beech T-34 Mentor I am making from own molds. Would appreciate your help if you are acquanted about the FF-320 set-up. Thank you in advance. Reuben

RE: FUTABA 18MZ HAS ARRIVED
Hi Carsten, Well the weather has not been all that nice for a field event but there could be people flying this week since a number of them may be having their holidays. Its probably only the weather that may be the prime disruptive factor. Back to the MZ, I wonder if this radio is available in Germany. It seems that it is now available in the UK but am not aware whether this is infact available in Germany or Austria (Der-Schweighoffer or Lindinger) Carsten, have a nice holiday. Reuben
