Hi Kevin ,yes it was my panther ,came of the ground early and started to snap ,Jack got it stright and it only recevied minor damage to the nose gear and doors .Will be ready to try again in a week or two .Its real heavey ,might need to get bigger engine ,maybe a P-160 or might sell ,not sure let ,just a little bumbed about it .

Boomerang XL ?
Just wondering if anyone has had a horizonal stab come off during flight ? Lost my new XL after about 3 mins into the maiden flight at 3/4 power [about] flying stright and level .Total lost ,professionally builted . everything new in XL except P-120 ,everything burned up except engine . I know of one other that had the blocks and bolts pull out of the horizonal stab with the same results and at a slower speed stright and level .Any feed back will be welcome . This happen today in Waco at the 30th GreaterSouthWest . Thanks Some of you might of got the wrong impression when I said my new XL ,It was new in the box but was brought 6 yr`s ago by another Jet flyer and he never did anything with it and he sold it to me ,so yes to me it was still new ,but just a 6 yr old kit not a 2012 kit ,just wanted to get things stright .I`m not saying anything bad about the Boomerang XL, just letting everyone know what happened to mine and hope it doesn`t happen to anyone else . Thanks for all the pm`s and kind words ,hope my mishap helps someone save there XL or other boomerang by going over there jet carefully and inspecting it .I`ve had two other XL`s ,lost my first after close to 175 flights do to a dumb thumb my me ,my number two was lost after a repair had failed ,both resulted in total airframe lost but everything else survide . This one was a total lost of everything .I will have another XL ,they are great flyer`s and the service from Patricia at Boomerang is top notch ,she has always been very helpful even with just simple questions .Thanks Dan for explaining to Patricia with kit I had and that it was new in the box even tho it was bought back in 06 .

Hi Kevin ,yes it flew but was a little tail heavy and droped a wing on landing and got some damage ,mainly noise gear ,doors and one main gear .Repairable but will take awhile before she`s back in the air . Ken

If you don`t fine a Iron bay f-15 [great flyer by the way] I saw a Old Jet-teck f-15 on the for sale page and its almost the same size as the old byron f-15 .one of our members here has one and it flew great .
