Have you adjusted the contrast to your personal requirements? You can adjust it in the System Menu. Also, hold down the scroll button when booting up; you will be asked if you want to transmit. Nice feature for more programming time on the battery. DR

RE: Which New 2.4 Transmitter Would You Choose?
Opps........... Spectrum DSMX/DSM2 Warning Bulletin Don't shoot the messenger, but Spektrum has ANOTHER defect/recall notice! This problem affects many Spektrum and JR brand DSMX transmitters when operating in DSM2 mode. Basically, the problem can cause the system to go into "Hold" during flight with certain DSM2 receivers. Since we all know that "Hold" really means "Crash", all owners should look at this bulletin carefully to make sure your system is not affected. For a complete explanation by Spektrum on this problem, and the affected transmitters, please see the "official" Bulletin from Spektrum If you in fact have a transmitter you have been using that is affected by this bulletin, please contact Horizon service directly using the contact information found in the bulletin. If you have a brand new, un-opened, un-used, new in the package system that is affected by this notice that was purchased from us, you can contact me at len@advantagehobby.com to arrange a special return/replacement. All Spektrum/JR DXMX transmitters that we are shipping from the date of the bulletin forward are NOT affected by this problem as we are told. It would really be great if Spektrum could just get it right the first time so as not to inconvenience all of you that are affected during the height of the flying season, but at least they are owning up to the problem and offering a solution rather than pretending it does not exist..........

After the manufacturing/shipping film is removed, Get a few of these, almost totally invisible, extremely durable. I have serveral in place for a couple of years, still going strong; easy to remove, but I don't why one would do that. Pre-cut to fit, go on easy and very simple operation. This is truly a "must have" product for the small expense involved and the protection provided. http://www.rcscreenprotectors.com/index_files/ProductList.htm Great service, mine arrived within a week.
ORIGINAL: TimBle what are you realistically going to do with the telemetry? Sure its a nice gimmick but please explain what actual value it brings to your flying. Trainer 12z
Ok, ********** Update ********************* This could be working fine. If so, the programming was extremely simple. I am using the servo monitor only, not the airframe per se to check the results. My observations regarding the behavior may be the way the Trainer function should appear in the monitor !!!!!!!!!!!! **************************************** The setup............ Should be simple. Traniner 12z Student 12z Both transmitters loaded with identical model configurations, sans trainer options. Desire; when the teacher side trainer sw is turned on, the Student has control. When off, teacher only in command. Student settings........... Trainer Menu Act-On, Teacher/Stud - Stud, 12/8 channel - 12CH, Modulation - PPM. Teacher settings........... Trainer Menu ACT - On, Teacher/Stud - Teach, 12/8 channel - 12/8, Switch - SB, elev, rudder, camber, motor - Norm, switches are set to Null on all. Plug trainer cord into both Tx's, turn on Teacher, Student Tx turns on In the servo monitor, it seems to work backwards. When the teacher side trainer switch is on, the teacher reflects stick movement in the servo monitor, when the trainer side trainer switch is off the nothing registers in the teacher servo monitor. The student servo monitor reflects stick movements regardless of the trainer sw setting on the teacher side. My thinking is when the selected Trainer switch is off, the Teacher only is in control, nothing should register in the student servo monitor. When teacher side trainer switch is on, the teacher side and student side reflect stick movements in the servo monitor. Also, my trainer cord is a micro plug, is this correct. It has a trainer/student direction indicator. Thanks in advance... DR Punta Gorda, Florida

RE: RCU Virus Infected
BS. Your issue is... If the average PC user cannot use the PCs they buy from Best Buy, Staples, et al, and cannot use them with Norton or McAfee, like MOST do, RCU will lose clients. Folks should not have to be MCSE's (MicroSoft Certified Systems Engineer's) to use RCU. Most users don't have a clue about what your are talking about. You guys are grabbing for straws, blame the advertisers. What you say they are doing could be true, but that is part of getting your servo farm protected. Next step, blame the users. You should know this going in. Never a problem with the past owners..........[8|] And, the other major RC sites, have tons of advertising, NO ISSUES with those. Time for business, customer service strategic and tactical leadership, not techno weenie action items. No!

The correct question is, why are the owners/adminstrators of this NOT site coming forward and explaning the situation, and the actions THEY are taking to protect our CC info and action items to correct the issues. They do have a fiduciary responsibility. Belive me ! Obviously, with the smartass responses; they think not. They will quickly learn otherwise if CC info is actually stolen and harm falls upon the card holders. This is not trivial in nature. DR
