RE: New turnigy/hobbyking powerbox systems
Looks like a cheap copy of the Smart-fly.I don't think I will fly with it untill it's proven. The money saved is not worth the cost of loosing a plane/jet. I do like compitition, helps to keep cost down and in check[;)]

Frauke, Johnshe is correct that you should contact the AMA first. This segment of our hobby is fantastic and growing at a rate or should I say like "moore's law" .You might also want to contact Chris Anderson at canderson@wire.com He is editor in chief of Wire Mag and cofounded 3D robotics. Good luck, do your DD and look forward to watching your story.

RE: Fly Eagle F-14 1/7.5 and F-15E 1/7 scale build thread
Sorry to hear this, did both engines flame out or just one? was it turbine failure or air in the lines? If just one engine fail I would have to assume it cant hold altitude with the other engine running. If all this has been brought up before point me the way and I'll catch up. I'm placing two independent fuel systems in mine. Wap4life very sorry but glad your getting a new one and not getting out of the hobby.Like to know what happen so the same wont happen to mine.

R/C aeroplane Feb 2012 issue page 110 title "devil in the details" Danny Fenton wrote a nice discription on just how to do this. Two ways....Fulcrum system and Rotary drive system.Like everything in life there are pros and cons with each way.Find a copy and I'm sure this will help you out. RE: SM A4 Upgrades
Well done, really like how you used a sector quadrant and link rod.Don't know the how the stock set was but it looks like the link goes over center for positve lock with the sector releasing it in the close movement......very very nice.

Last time I seen one of those up close was at Spartan in Tulsa back in 1981.(They had two) John.... looks like you ,Horizon and the boys have your work cut out.Lot's of cool jets you guy's can offer us jet junkies.Instead of one a year maybe two to keep us all happy LOL [;)]

RE: E-Flite F-4 Phantom
I don't feel the stock set up's is a dog.We have all seen Tam Jet and the turbine up grades for those who want more.I like how the jets come and can hold up to the modifcations fellow modeler's choose to do on there own. Like John said this is a low price point to get a really nice jet.I have a Skymaster F20 with about 8K into it,so if your bored there are other options[:D]

RE: E-Flite F-4 Phantom
42 " WS F5/F20 would be sweet.Knowing the high quality of the kits and paying a little more would be OK with me.But if Horizon could pull it off for $300 I think they fly off the shelves. No body has done a realy nice F5/F20 at this scale.I think it would be a great choice for this series....IMHO please John make it so............
