RE: CEN Racing 1/5 4wd Short Course !!!!!!
nice looking body on that 5t, other day i pulled a sticker off one of my FS racing servos and under it said CEN stamped into the plastic... so its ovious that CEN and FS work together. that being said.. CEN if you make a car with the 1/4th diffs and arms you will be onto a killer vehicle and will sell millions :) also check out www.fshopups.com for all the upgrades for the CEN 1/5th lineup.

the only 'bad' thing about ken is that he often drop ships.... sometimes it can cause problems, to be honest other than that he is not so bad to deal with...he is not a man of many words but is usually able to help out....

RE: CEN Genesis 7.7 shedding some weight.
thanks for the reply, found some at horizon hobby that are called motor saver, they have a outerwears cover too. I think i will have to get one of those. done some more work, sorted the play(movement) in the lower arms with some shims. made a exhaust mount out of some alloy i had lying around, still ruff but does the job. reduced some more weight by removing the rear bumper and the reverse servo. am going to remove the reverse gear too. thanks for the replies and any tips are welcome.

RE: CEN Genesis 7.7 shedding some weight.
thanks for the reply rob, the engine is brand new so i just wanted to be sure. am going to do some work and should be ready to fire up this weekend. will do the break in on the bench as the shocks still need to modded to fit the genesis. is it just me or does the air filter seem not up to the job?imo mud could easily slip in through the sides where the foam sits in the filter. what does everyone else use? how can i see which generation CEN i have, i understand the color of the chassis but then there was 3 generations of those red chassis? thanks for the replies.

RE: CEN Genesis 7.7 shedding some weight.
thanks for the replies, i think i will take the rear bumper off and leave the front on. thanks for the advice. Dark fire: when you say take the whole engine apart, you mean the carb and the back plate? some say that the new stuff from rev line is good and does not need sealing... dont all nitro engines need to be sealed?

outerwears on ntro filter?
hello i have a cen genesis and am not happy with the way the foam sits in the housing, seems as if there is a gap around the sides. now on largescales they use a micron filter to cover the stock filter. can this done on nitro engine too?? any info/suggestions would be great!

RE: CEN Genesis 7.7 shedding some weight.
so some progress, stripped the car and cleaned everything, installed a new steering and throttle servo, much better, still have not removed the reverse gear. removed the clutch and flywheels for the new engine. installed a hump pack in for power, used a large o ring to seal the battry box. the engine i have is the corsa black head, should i seal it up?(does it also have overheating problems?) would rather do that now to avoid problems later.. any info/help would be great.. CEN Genesis 7.7 shedding some weight.
hello i recently got a used cen gen, she is in good shape other than dead rotorstart battries and servos are weak and need changing. The engine is good, but have decided to replace it with the new black head corsa 7.7 i was not happy with having to service 10 shocks at a time so decided that some 1/5th scale buggy shocks would work good(i will be using four shocks instead of 10).They cost more than the truck so should do the job fine. they are made by lauterbacher in germany. Have some hitecs to drop in for the throttle and steering. am still thinking about doing the dual steering mod. i am wanting to remove the reverse gear as i dont need it to reverse, can this be done?? i have not opened up the gear box yet as it seems as everything is solid and smooth with no play. Here is some pictures of the progress this far. any tips or info that can assist me in this build would be great, thanks for looking

RE: CEN Matrix 5B
well once again if CEN made the FS or whatever they did a shoddy job and i would stear clear of there 1/5th scales as they have oviously learnt nothing from the 'FS' experience. now if they use the diffs of the 1/4th im sold. doubt it cause no one is listening/cares...kinda reminds me of the FS service....................................................................

RE: CEN Matrix 5B
well if cenchain was making the FS then they did a poor job at that. Now if cenchain also makes the 1/4th scale FS, then they are onto something. i doubt it though. some people tell me that it happens alot that during chinese new year/holiday the tech guys go to different factories taking... CO.,LTD. has alot of success with there 'fs racing' clone, its called carbon fighter

RE: cen gen roto problem
ok well it seems as if i can get it to turn over, loosing the plug helps a bit, but still no start, i did notice the plug does NOT get wet. also i see the fuel keep returning back to the tank? is it maybe a compression problem? i have a fully charged glow heater, plug, roto battrey. any help would be good

cen gen roto problem
hello recently got a genesis 2nd hand and it seems as if the roto start will not turn the engine over, when i remove the glow plug it works fine and tunr the engine over, but when i put it back in, it struggles to turn the engine offer. I had a look at the one way bearing and cant see that anything is making it slip, The rotostart is fully charged so there must be enough power to turn it over. anybody with a clue please reply. Thanks in advance

RE: Anyone see all the new CEN 1/5 scale gas coming out
lol so Fs has taken over, the CEN use different lower and upper arms, the rest is the same as the fs racing. i suppose CEN saw it as a easy way to enter into largescale. I have owned a FS for almost... standard. is this not done on most largescales anyways? Fs racing problems were that the quality '... Fs has upgraded there standards Carbon Fighter : over 10 000 sold in germany all steel gears
