Let me guess, you also got a cat inside your Skymaster F-16? I got one too, but threw it away with the box. I think that is actually a tool they use to lay up the fiberglass. [:D][:D]

RE: Bandit ARF CG w/P-80 & large hopper?
ORIGINAL: ravill Don't forget that you will need all your elevator throw and when landing remember to keep the nose down to the runway and then ease off the throttle and flare, this way you will not run out of elevator. I fly my BARF with a Titan SE and now have my c/g 3/4'' behind what BV recommends and it's still a touch nose heavy. Your p-80 should be plenty. Raf
Still.........my BARF had the exact same setup, P-80 with the large (regular bandit) header tank and landing gear....................BVM recommended settings................UAT behind the engine..........ECU battery on the fuse side next to the ECU Tray.......Rx battery below the intaks..........takes off in 300ft or less. Dude you must not be measuring teh CG the right way. I personally use my fingers, which are good to +/- .75 inches. And yes, timer set at 8minutes with plenty of leftover fuel. You could cross country this thing (if you can keep up with it [sm=wink_smile.gif]) David

RE: Dutch F-16 maiden with on-board video
ORIGINAL: sailing1 Great video and flight. Love your flying field. Do you have any pictures of how you mounted you video camea.
Man I don't, but it is as simple as it gets. Got some platic I-beam from Hobby Town USA (in the same area where the K&S tubing is), cut it 3 inches long, sanded the fwd edge to make it comform to the rudder leading edge then CA'd to the top of the rudder fin. Then added the cushion tape supplied with the camera to keep it tight in the beam. Lastly, I put a servo screw on the aft edge of the I-beam to keep the camera from sliding back. I will post some pics tonight when I get home.

RE: Dutch F-16 maiden with on-board video
Thanks guys! This model handles quite well. I have the recommended throws and expos, but on the elevator I need more throw and less expo, and on the ailerons I need less throw (and perhaps add some more expo). Gotta say, the Rabbit moves this plane on such a way that it makes it feel like a larger scale. Had the timer set at 4min and the 10 oz header tank was full when I landed, which makes me think I don't really need it. There was still some fuel on the mains as well. On a side note, Skymaster should add a note to the website stating that a vision of 20/20 or better is required to fly this scheme. It was dusk when I took off and had to keep it near, still it went stealth a couple of times. But IMHO, this model looks absolutely beatiful in the sky. Next week I will start cheking on spins, high alphas to see how it handles. I will leave teh CG where it is for the time being, until I can check on the spin qualitites. I love that dreamworks camera!!!

Dutch F-16 maiden with on-board video
Finally got to test the new ride. Flew pretty good but I need to set the expo and elevator throw. Camera is a Deamworks R/C, mounted on the rudder. Enjoy!!

RE: If i were to...
I vote for Greater Southwest Jet Rally in Waco Texas. 1. Southern comfort and hospitality (in and out of the event) 2. Tex-mex food ('nuff said) 3. You are one hour from DFW. There is more to do in DFW than in the rest of the USA put together. No beach though (had there been one we 'd move the capital from Austin to Arlington). 4. You will see a very diverse crowd of jet pilots and models 5. We will soon have a B-1B with 4x P200's. If that is not insane by itself, try the Ghost Pepper Beef Jerky they make here. 6. You can drive 1 hour towards Crawford Ranch and say hi to Geroge "W" mowing the lawn (or whatever you wish to say to him) 7. Cavannaugh Air Museum in Addison. You will not see a finer collection of Warbirds in the US. Been at both Weeks in FL and Cavannaugh......my vote for Cavannaugh. 8. If you like spotting, drive to old Carswell AFB in Fort Worth.......cool place to spot. Home of the F-35 and the new breed of F-16's. (it's all about the jets right!) 9. We got Texas beef in most good restaurants (not Angus, but the kind you have to kill) 10. DFW airpost has Singapore Airlines Cargo......so you can easily ship your jets directly 11. California is way overrated. The water in the beach is cold, in LA you get killed if you make the wrong turn near Compton, Seals barking don't let you sleep at night, a beer can cost you $15 if you stop at the wrong (actually the right!!) bar. All kidding aside, GSW is a really nice event. But It is sure hard to compete with the ammenities of Cali and Central Florida.

RE: Skymaster F-16 1/8 Leading Edge Flaps, Air Brakes and Operating Canopy
You don't need to move it up and it would probably be ok if you use that method. Like I said, it would be kind of difficult to amke it work like the scale one. Actual looks like this:
