LST = Bashing?
Hello everyone, I'm in the market for a new MT. In particular the LST. I am purely a basher, I live in outback Australia so there is no LHS, tracks, nothing. I currently own 2x RC10GT's and a Kyosho buggy so I am not new to the hobby and I know how to tune an engine, maintain etc so no problems on that side of things. There are some things I would like to find out though: Axles/CVD's: Has any one had any problems with the axles that come off the latest LST's? I've been reading and there seems like they were a major issue when the truck first came out. Clutch springs: Again are the newer ones stronger/less prone to breakage? Do the CB/Spur gears line up correctly on the new LST's? I'd like to be able to go and bash with my mates with there Savages out on the sand dunes and at the BMX track so it needs to be tough. If I do go ahead and get a LST my up grades will consist of: Get rid of washer Aluminium diff cases Aluminium A-Arms Center skid plate New era roll bar Heavier springs all-round Titanium Turnbuckles Gear protector. Is there anything else you would recommend for someone who likes to spend more time in the air then the ground? Are there any little tips and tricks you have? Thank you!
