RE: Mini Kangaroo Plans?
I appreciate you sending the plans over. I'm going to get some sticks and start my new project. By the way, I have build the Cororoo from coroplast. The plans were posted [link=http://www.spadcombat.co.uk/spad/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=223&Itemid=298]here[/link]

RE: Mini Kangaroo Plans?
I have not yet heard from Stephen. The email addy in my profile should work. I think I would enjoy adding something like the Mini Kangaroo to my fleet. Thanks!

You're right sorry... I must have typed in a hurry... I meant lines of MEDIUM CA along the glue area.

RE: Glue, Aircore 40
The SPAD forum will give many "best ways to glue coroplast" http://spadworld.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=147 Tried and True method that I use, is flashing the coroplast with a butane lighter over the are to be glued, then run a few light lines of coro along the glue area. Press and clamp together, not to let the surface move for several minutes. There has been success using poly glue also. Poly glue does not give off the yucky fumes that CA does.

RE: Why no aircore?
Check the SPAD forum - You'll see several different planes and free plans for planes made from coropalst (the same stuff as Aircore) and they fly very well to beat, you can build very heavy but if built lightly, they don't weigh any more than their balsa cousins. Afraid of crashing? Fly Spad. I fly both Spad and Balsa. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_178/tt.htm www.spadworld.net www.spadtothebone.org

RE: talon good spad?
Greg, I was just pulling your leg. I've seen Clean's Talon and it is a very nice flying SPAD. I'm sorry I tried talking you out of your winnings. It won't happen again. I feel so ashamed of myself... maybe someone can cheer me up by sending me a Talon or something...

RE: talon good spad?
The Talon sucks, it's no fun to fly. I would suggest not wasting your time on it, leave it in the box and send it to me. I would be more than happy to help you dispose of it. PM me, I'll give you all the info to send it.

RE: Rc car engine
Dude, Do not put an electric adapter from a brushless motor on a glow car engine. Are you trying to put a brushless truck motor on the plane? What size is it, and what is the Kv rating? I think most of us are reading this and figure you are trying to put a car GLOW engine on the plane, and that's and idiotic idea. If it's a brushless motor, and is good for torque, and not too many rpms you might have something to put on your plane....

RE: Exceed RC Eagle 50
Is there an aluminum tail rotor mount available? I keep breaking the plastic POS that holds the tail rotor in place. I spent >$20 and over 2 hours fiddling with tiny screws and solder and more small screws only to have 15 seconds or whirling around and breaking in the same place again. What good is an aluminum boom when the tail piece is crap plastic? Its actually a plastic step joint that is 2 different sizes, (The middle piece in the pic) the larger diameter mounts into the boom with the microscopic screws, and the smaller diameter into to motor mount thingy... This is the piece that keeps breaking. I have yet to find replacement parts which include only that part and not the whole tail rotor assembly. RE: polypropylene sheet and wing sheeting
If I'm thinking of the same stuff, you can get 25' rolls in the garden center (comes in grey) I'm pretty sure this is what I used in my flower beds. I don't think it was more than $7 or $8 per roll. It's not the black stuff that rips, this is the fabric that you cannot tear no matter how hard you try.

Rolls of Tyvek at Home Depot - That's the fabric stuff you put down on your flower beds as a weed barrier, right?

RE: polypropylene sheet and wing sheeting
I have read about folks sheeting foam with corrugated card board from leftover boxes. Also found an old thread of someone using UPS or FedEX envelopes instead of fiberglass cloth to "glass" a wing. Wish I could find that thread for you.

Well you aren't the first person to want to come up with the idea. We've had this discussion before on www.spadworld.net [:-] In fact that's where most of us get our brainstorming ideas.
