RE: landing bounce
He's probably holding up elevator after the plane touches down. Took me awhile to learn to relax the right stick after the first touch.

I wonder if the Stinger will come with the covering bubbles on the sheeted foam surfaces like the Zlin? Beatiful plane ruined by a crappy covering job...

I'm up to 17 or 18 at last count. Collection includes all 3 4-Stars, a CG Bucker, Ultrasport 1000, Lanier Ultimate Pitts, Midwest Little Cap, NEAero Zephair 120, plus a bunch of less desirables...

Dont get rid of all of your monkote as it works great for trimming out a plane that has a Ultracote base.
ORIGINAL: telejojo Had 3 flights today and it flys great ,no bad habits and lands good for a bipe.We had a little crosswind but landing was easier than takeoff. All except one of the aireron servo's broke loose (mounting blocks)and I had to ca them so I could fly. There is not much wood to them so I would beef them up.The tail wheel is not very good (bends easy)but overall a good arf. RE: Saito FA-91 rebuild
Wow, that baby has led a hard life and not worth fixing in my opinion. I shy away from any engine that has plier marks on the drive washer. It usually says alot about the previous owners mechanical aptitude or lack thereof.

RE: My GP 60 size Extra 300 Kit + DLE 20!!!!
ORIGINAL: brenthampton79 ...Anyone have any advice please don't be afraid, one thing im concerned about is the throttle linkage I have a metal clevis attached to the metal throttle arm on the engine but the rest of the pushorod is all nylon, wonder if this is okay and what would it do if I left it like that?
Push rod material is irrelevant from a RFI standpoint. You can use a metal pushrod with plastic clevises or a plastic pushrod with plastic clevises, but no metal clevises on metal throttle arms, servo horns, etc. Metal to metal connections are bad. Also, it looks like the front two bolts on your engine mount have bent to conform with the taper of the mount. Not good practice, IMHO. I would remove the bolts and counter bore the holes in the plastic mount so that the clamping sufaces are parallel. After machining, I'd use Nyloc nuts or double nuts with blue loctite to secure the engine bolts.

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***
ORIGINAL: BigBird1 I caught this thread and need to ask a question. I bought a 1000 kit years ago when GP put them on sale. It's up next after I finish a Giant Stinger. Love to use gas motors. Can anyone give me an idea of what size gas motor to use? I really don't like the idea of installing a half gallon fuel tank for that big of a glow motor. Thanks. BB1
DLE 20 or Evolution 26 would seem to be the best choice to me since both are beam type mounting.

You don't have to use a nylon pushrod, you just dont want any metal to metal connections. Use nylon clevises or ball links.

Stitches, You might have to insulate your choke rod where it passes thru the L bracket. Metal to metal = bad.

RE: Goldberg Extra 300
Thanks, GB. Maybe I'll snap some pics of the gear and instruction sheet sometime. They are still wrapped together in old tape and bubble wrap with the wheel pants, which makes me believe they came from the same source. The cowl has a white gel coat on it, not the translucent green that I've seen in this thread. I can't believe how flimsy the stock plastic cowl pieces are in my kit. They are paper thin and feel as though they wouldn't make through the maiden flight!
