RE: New H9 Cub??
I treat my cub like a supercub. I have no fabric on the landing gear and 4.5 inch tires. I also fly it like a supercub, my takeoff method is give it full power wait for the tail to come up than pull up and and climb out at a 60 degree angle, all at full power. I noticed when you just give it full throttle on takeoff you barely have to touch the rudder to keep it going straight. I know this is nothing close to cublike flying but it is still fun. my runway is in my back pasture, it is 170 feet long with a barbed wire fence on one end and 100 foot silos 75 feet away from the other end.

RE: Dave Patrick super cub
A while back somebody was asking If anyone had turned this cub into more of a bush plane. A guy over on RCGroups did that exact thing to his 80" Adrian Page Supercub kit. Ferki Sorry if the pictures don't show up

RE: New H9 Cub??
If anyone needs it I have a spare hubcap for this plane. One of my tires fell off in flight and I never found it again. Long story short I ended up with a spare tire and hubcap. Ferki

RE: tail wheel-caster or steerable
I flew my cub for a day with a castoring tailwheel. Takeoff and landing was very easy, it's just during taxi that it get a bit tricky. It would track sraight during taxi it just that when doing a 180 on the ground you some times end up doing a 360. Newkid

RE: Im gonna get a cub but which one.
My first glow plane was the new H9 80" cub. I got the Plug N Play version. The Evolution .46 has plenty of power, even for float flying. To me this cub does not seem hard to take off or land but you can tip stall it if you dont get it out of a stall real quick. Out of all the arf cubs out there it is probably the most scale, which is the reason I bought it. Ferki

RE: New H9 Cub??
I maidened it today! [:D][:D][:D] I have only been flying small parkflyers, mostly 3D. I wanted to get into glow so I bought this Cub. (I heard it flew good and it looked great.) I was going to have a friend help me learn how to fly glow, but after talking for a while, and seeing me fly the electrics, he said I would probably be fine flying it on my own. I taxied it around and it didn't really want to ground loop as long as it was 3/4 throttle or below, and if I stayed on top of it. I got it into the air and got up high to do some stalls. flew it around a bit and landed a tad bit fast. I flew it another 6 times after this. My biggest mishap was that I hit some tall grass and it flipped over. It didn't seem that the elevator had as much authoriy in low rates as it should, so I gave it some more throw. This is one great plane. Ty

1/4 scale Kitfox Plans.
I just recieved some plans from a friend that got copies at Kinko's. The plans are printed by Chris Sweaton Models down in South Africa. There were only two sheets and they seem to be missing a few things. It also seems that it may have been a short kit and I just got the plans. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has pictures of their plane or someone's elses please post them. Thanks, Ty

RE: New H9 Cub??
Anyone that has put a fuel dot on this plane, How did you make it so that the fuel doesn't flow out of the carb when pumping fuel?[sm=confused.gif] I know it must be some sort of T valve but I just don't know what it is called or where to get it. I was going to mount the dot on the bottom of the cowel. Anyone foresee a problem with this? Thanks, Ty
