RE: Supplies help!
I had a problem finding the square PVC. I went to doitbest.com and looked for local stores. They will carry or can get Genova square pipe. I paid like 10 bucks for a 10 foot piece. They had to get it from another store and got it the same day. I was impressed. Look there it may help you out.

RE: 40 size Corospit?
well I will build like the plans and try the 40LA. I plan ot put gear on it too. I wonder if you would have to add some weight to the back with the bigger engine. Guess I shall find out

Can anyone point me to some good websites that can provide good references for scale projects? I am planning at some point to start a Spitfire as my first scale project. I haven't decided which plans I will be doing but I would like to start researching. Thanks

RE: OS LA idle adjustments
Not sure if I am explaining myself right. I tried to find a pic but can't find one. On the top next to the carb is a screw that is set tight into the frame. This is not the adjustable screw on the side for adjustment of the air bleed but a screw that, according to my instructor, should adjust how far the carb can close. Apparently this seemed wrong to him and on my FP engine this screw is a tension screw. Does this make any more sense. heh thanks

OS LA idle adjustments
Quick question. While working on my brother's LT-40 my instructor noticed that his OS 46LA's carb screw wasn't adjustable like and OS FX series motor. IE there was no sprint to set how far the carb opened. I checked my OS 40LA and wit was the same way. He had a rough time getting the idle just right with the HI-TEC computer radio trims. is this just a simple part that OS decided not to put on the LA series? MY OS 40FP has a spring on this carb screw too. I hope I made sense. if anyone could let me know that would be great. My instructor has 2 40LAs for a twin and may dump them if they are as hard to adjust as my brother's engine. T Thanks

2 blade vs 3 & 4 blade props?
Question if you plan on using say a 3 blade prop for scale appearance and such and over power your bird to compensate is there any problem in that? I see people using 2 blades where 3 blades historicly were. Is that just fo r power reasons?

Weekend Project: First Plane - Sig Kadet LT-40
You can paint the muffler to match the engine. I can't remember the exact colour but you get the paint at Auto zone. Do a search on these forums for auto zone or some such thing to find it and the post has the exact colour number. Plane looks very good.

Weekend Project: First Plane - Sig Kadet LT-40
Sounds like you are making good progress now that the cat has lost his taste for plane parts :) I had my battery wrapped tight eonough that there was a little movement to reduce shock but not loose that it would slid out easy. After you balance your plane you could take a strip of velcro and secure it in place. make sure to put some foam around your fuel tank to cut down on the bubbles. make sure the throttle pushrod doesn't bind though.

Weekend Project: First Plane - Sig Kadet LT-40
Looking good. So is the cat gonna get an sticktime on this? When installing the radio watch the play with the steering servo on the front gear. I have an Alpha trainer, as you already know ;), and I am fighting the pay in that wheel. makes it hard for straight take offs.

FLat Bat question
well the main reason for putting the tank inside the bat is mainly appearance. I also found a "tubular flange" at sears that would work as a cowl. I thought about mounting this cowl with the tank on top. that is the cool thing avout SPADs is that you can do whatever. Anyway there really is no reason to put the tank in the bat other than it fits a 6oz tank.

FLat Bat question
The plans for the Flat Bat puts the fuel tank on top of the fuse held down with bands. Is it possible to put the tank inside. I know it fits but how would that effect fuel flow? thanks for the info.

Vinyl gutter downspout? Same as PVC?
ok my question is what home depot are you going to and what aisle is it in. I can't find any square vinyl or pvc downspouts. I find only 1" x 3'. I have checked lowes and sears too and it is all the same. Maybe it is just St Louis and they have banned the 2 1/2" stuff i just can't find it
