Thanks for all your input here guys. I have started on the basic carb tear down for clean and inspection. Already tried the new plugs...has a fresh set of Honda CM6's and they check out good.Will keep you all informed on my findings as I get into this over the weekend. DLE 111
Ok, got a DLE 111, 15 flights, running good grade standard 91 octain pump gas, 40:1 mix with "Redline", the engine has been flawless and a dream so far with loads of power...last time out, got my first flight in, alls good...second flight, the engine would start, idle, and run up to half throttle just fine....try to give anymore than half throttle the engine will choke out an die??? Tryed for an hour, pulled, checked and changed the plugs, checked my fuel lines and supply, checked the carb settings, same thing...starts, idles and runs great up to about half throttle, then chokes out and dies unless you bring it back to half throttle. Up to half throttle, alls good! I'm open to all help and suggestions here??? Thanks

RE: DLE 20 spark plug
Hi Dusty...it's kind of a pain in the rear getting the wire back into the plug boot, especially if you have bent it at all from its original shape...but it can be done with a touch of patience. My suggestion is that you, very carefully, use a small stright blade screw driver and you start the spring into the boot and then keep working it around the boot untill the entire spring is inside the boot area. As long as you haven't deformed the spring, it will all fit inside the boot and all of the spring has to be inside the boot or the boot will not fit or seal correctly on the plug! Just take it easy, be patient and it will go back on. Try to remember the next time you service your plug to be real careful when removing the plug boot so you don't have to go through this again.
