Yes I did have a GN. I sold it in April to get the mustang. It was an amazing car. Ran 11.7's and had fantastic street manners heres pics http://turbobuicks.net/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=6504
ORIGINAL: HJJFFFAA FlyinGN, do you have a Grand National(assuming thats what the GN in your name means)? RE: What 1:1 car do you drive.
agreed. but if you have shavings in the oil you have bigger issues.. BUT even with shavings in the oil it would not cause the turbo to 'blow up' You may damage the bearings tho..
ORIGINAL: hotsh0ts_05 If the oil runs through the turbo, and theres alot of metal shavings in the oil from initial engine wear, I believe it could be harmful for the turbo... Its my first turbo car, so I really dont know too much about them. I do work on cars for a living though as a technician for Nissan, and theres no required "break in" for NA cars (At least for Ford and Nissan anyways).... And if there somehow IS a break in period... then I feel bad for anyone who buys a 350Z, cause I know for a fact that almost everyone that gets sold gets BEAT ON for the first 20 miles during the PDI test drive lol
LOLL the turbo won't 'blow up' LOL. Sounds like the dealer is feeding you bs.. There is no break in time for the turbo the break in time is for th eengine,. The rings need to be seated.. has nothing to do with the turbo..

compared to a freaking ricer Honda 2.0 they are! Thats what kids today have it to compare to. lol. But you're right 302 cubic inches is on the small side of a small block engine..
ORIGINAL: Tripower455

They look ugly (in my opinion) and the only thing they are remotly good for is dragging because they have that big 5.0L engine.
Looks are subjective, and a 5.0L is not even close to a big engine. well. first off its obvious that you do not even own a car and bet you have not chaged oil in car much less give 'put down' opinions on others who DO own cars and have installed forced injection equipment on them. You opinions don't hold much value now does it? Like I said.. nothing personal. I have a teenager myself so I know how kids are..:) btw anyone can google info, it does not make you an experty untill you ACTUALLY did something.. no relax and stay to rc cars..:)
ORIGINAL: Soppy Sorry buddy but I'm 17.
