RE: Dinner time
ORIGINAL: tommygun32 Ahhhh...there's only one proper way to cook a slab of flesh...the way YOU/client want it, hehehe. uhm, frostbyte, how big is that restaurant you're working at? That seems like a massive turn.
Its pretty large (3 banquet rooms, wine room,Full bar, large outdoor patio, and the regular dining room.. I'd say it seats around 300-350 (sometimes we have a wait time of 2 hours!) when we are in full swing... We sometimes have "parties" 75-100 people at a time...i.e. all these tickets are for one group...probably 5-6 people per ticket. Oh yeah it aint too cheap either....lol And yes you are right tommygun i do cook steaks how i want to and 99% of the time they eat em! The only way to get a "perfect" steak is to cook it yourself...half the time the customer doesnt know what the diffrent temps of steaks are. And frets24 ...ill just cut the horns and tail off and give it to you..lol...ive had people actually want their steak cooked 10 seconds on each side and thats it....stone cold in the middle

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
ORIGINAL: godssoldier Just recently picked up a tornado s30. I havent had any issues with it until now. I was running it the other day and all of a sudden it just stopped. The motor would continue to rev but it wouldnt go anywhere. I brought it inside and looked everything over and couldnt seem to find any problems. All the dogsbones seem to be in good condition and the drive cups are tight. Took it back outside and it worked for about 10 minutes then did the same thing. With the car and reciever on it seems to be binding up when I attempt to roll it across the floor. Also I have a light on on my radio that I dont remember being on before. Its on the far right. It says LED underneath it and has a place next to it that says F/S SET BIND. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am a complete newb to these cars and just looking for answers. Thanks in advance.
Might want to check batteries in TX...the light on the right is your battery level...you want it green... If you RX looses signal with your TX (low batts) your fail safe might be kicking in and applying the brake which makes it un rollable on the floor FrostY

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
Theres a chance your RX does have a built in fail-safe....my tornado s30 does...Heres a link to the video to tell you if you do or don't and how to set it if you do. To find out if you have a fail-safe built in watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juRAZmfhQuc&feature=player_embedded And if you do this is how you set it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cAN7fuA5xo&feature=player_embedded FrostY

RE: high idle.....reving without throttle
Maybe your throttle linkages need adjusting.... And ive noticed on my redcat tornado that if i power on receiver before transmitter the servo slowly creeps all the way to full throttle. Be sure to power transmitter first then receiver. FrostY

RE: are you kidding
Has anyone stopped to realize that RC is an abbreviation?!?!? Hell "www" is an abbreviation. And btw (by the way) this bickering like kids is starting to be a real turn-off for me and these forums. In which I am frequentley reading because I'm a noob (that means a begginer for those out of the internet lingo loop) in the nitro radio control world. FrostY Ps... rather interesting paragraph I found.. RE: What size of screw or part number do I need?
If im correct you are talking about "ball head covers"...do they look like nuts but with threads on outside and a hex in the middle that goes all the way through? I have a tornado s30 but maybe you can use this for a reference... (The schematic i found for your shredder was poor in quality and i couldnt make out any part numbers) So heres the Schematic for the part on my tornado i think youre talking about (look at part # 02153) -http://www.redcatracing.com/c.849850/site/partsbypicture/tornado.html And a link to a picture of the actual part.. http://www.redcatracing.com/02153 Hope this helps... RE: Ipad Apps. Universal remote control?????
I can control my DirecTv receiver and BluRay player through my iPad and GalaxyS if i connect them thru my wifi network. I belive Denon makes audio recivers wifi compatible so you can do the same. Some info i just searched and came across. You would have to buy this hardware to put a ir transmitter on the device...looks simple though just plug and play For Andoid Devices http://www.irdroid.com/ For ios devices http://www.newkinetix.com/ Also i have came across some toy grade bluetooth cars controlled by an iPad range is poor though (20-30ft) http://store.apple.com/us/product/H7537LL/A <-link to the Silverlit Bluetooth RC Car. RE: RC Car Runs On Water
I got one of these sittin around my house somewhere...pretty cool little car.. I might have to make a video to show how it works... A short break down of how this rc works.... Theres a fueling station which you put water in and it seperates the h20 into hydrogen and oxygen using a solar panel.. It stores the hydrogen in a pump in which you pump into a balloon in the car. From there the car turns the hydrogen to electricity and stores it in capacitors which in turn powers themotor to the wheels and steering servos.. Also the radio is charged by the solar panel.. RE: whatcha git?
Well kids DO change your life ALOT like... your wallet! Take me for instance.... As you can see this is my first post and I'm a noob in the hobby rc world.. Been trying to get my wife to buy (or to let ME buy) a nitro rc for 6+ years now...And FINALLY she gave in...only thing is I had to keep it "cheap"...As everyone knows (even me the noob) that this aint a "cheap" hobby lol... So I tried to keep it cheap but it still costed me around $400... This is what I'll be getting in sometime this week for my late Xmas...better late than never.... I cant wait!
