RE: Why is anything in RC controversial?
Yes so do I, but you gotta remember they are new, you were there once to, and as pointed out above it's human nature to take the easy way out and just post a question instead of looking for it. And I don't blame this forum for everything, though by ready my posts looks like a do, I blame the RC community in general, and yes you are right, I've been in other clubs, it's like that every where. I just wish we could just show more respect one to another, and not worry about who is best who know best.

RE: Why is anything in RC controversial?
If people attitude toward beginners doesn't change and the new generation who would rather do drug then drive RC car anyways don't pick it up, and the older generation dies off, eventually so will the industry, maybe not dies, but it will definitely shrink.

RE: Why is anything in RC controversial?
I think we need this thread because this is the exact reason ALOT of beginners turn away from this hobby, at least the forums. This RCU and the attitude that the Site is taking on was the reason I left the hobby. Things need to change or soon there will be no newcomers and without them the hobby will die.

Mini Stryker
Hey guys I bought the new mini Stryker, 3rd flight out one of the servos quit about 200 feet out, and it spiraled into the ground snapping in half. it range tests perfect and everything works fine, when radio is at full power you walk about 200 feet away, and the right servo stops working (right one when looking from the back) Anyone else have this issue, and/or know what the problem is? I just bought 2 new batteries for it, and now it seems like a complete waste of money.
ORIGINAL: Aframomum Is your swash moving at all and just not in the right directions? You may have to go back into your swash menu and reverse some of the numbers and/or reverse the directions of one or more servo's. What exactly is the swash servo's doing with each stick movement? Start with the elevator servo, then the aerilon servo, then the aux servo. Mark
The swash is moving right just not the right sticks, here is what I have: left stick, when moved up moves the swash forward, and throttle goes up, when moved down, throttle goes down, and swash moves backwards. When move left to right tail functions as it is supposed to! Right stick, left to right movement, moves the swash left to right, as it is supposed to, but up and down movement, moves thee swash up and down, changing the pitch.

RE: Prop help!
Ok so basically don't go over a 2 blade prop for a V hull? Now a prop like the 5 blade prop (I was really looking at it cause it looks awesome) would that work on a cat or is it mostly for dual engine setups? Also I know I cannot get rid of the prop walk, but is there a way to minimize it? When I hit full throttle, coming out of a turn the back end jumps to the side. Or is basically throttle control?

Prop help!
Hey guys I just got a Pro-boat shockwave 55SS, and the prop on it has some dings and such, I was looking at replacement props, and was thinking maybe I should just upgrade it now, I was looking at a Prop Shop B6717/5 - Left, prop, it is .10" smaller diameter, but .28 bigger pitch, it is also a 5blade prop instead of 2 what would that do to performance? here is a link to the prop and a picture of it: http://bonzisports.com/props.html and the picture: [image]http://bonzisports.com/images/parts/prop_shop6717_5.jpg[/image] If this is a bad idea, or would decrease performance, any input would be great. O BTW in-case it make a difference so far the engine is completely stock.

Well I agree to, I wish we as a site can try to stop these kind of people before it happens, IDK how, but it would be nice, and scumbags should pay for their crimes, not just returning the stolen property, because that's not any kind of punishment.
ORIGINAL: lopflyers Oh wow, that is why paypal is good, it kinds of protect everybody in the transaction. Kind off because cons can scam you anyways if they persist enough. I was almost scam at ebay selling an i phone. When I went to the post office the postman told me not to send anything to Nigeria, they steal from everybody. RCU should be more vigilant of this so they can make this web site safer
I lost a HPI hellfire to some guy in Nigeria, this was on ebay though, I sold my truck payment came in through paypal, so I thought it was ok, I sent the truck, then payment bounced so I had sent the truck, and lost the payment, on top of that buyer made up some BS about not getting it, and paypal made me pay him $600 back on top of that, so not only did that guy get a free truck he made $600. lesson learned I guess. A few years back I bought things on ebay and rcu without thinking twice about it, never really thinking to check rating or anything, until I got screwed a few times. So if I can do anything to get one scumbag put away, that make this site safer (a little bit at least)

Well even if he gets a check today, it still may not be over this guys has a chance to cancel the check for up to 10 days after it was cashed or something like that. Basically it's still not over, unless he sends you a money order then IDK what the policy with that is. I had it happen to me, but it was only $50 so I just let it slide, to me $50 wasn't worth all this trouble. But best of luck mate, hope it works out.
