RE: 2.4gHZ Jammer?
The real question should be- who cares? Any commercially avalable technology for controling our aircraft is capable of being jammed, usually quite easily. The 2.4 system has been proven to be effective, and whether it is impervious to jamming or not should be irrelevant.

G20 ignition battery
Is anyone running a single cell 3.7v lipo on their Zenoah G20 ignition? How well does this settup work? I'd like to stay away from a regular four cell pack if possible. Thanks, Greg

I'll actually be starting one tomorrow (birthday present). Don't worry about it, it should be an easy build. I'll let you know how it goes. Good luck. Greg

RE: Do you suggest the OS FL-70 4str.?
Kostas, Are you actually reading these responses? If you were, you would realize that your question has been answered many times in this thread. However, since you still fail to accept it, I will repeat it one last time. There is nothing about the FL 70 that makes it better or even comparable to any other 4 stroke in that size. But since you obviously think OS engines are the best thing since sliced bread, go ahead and buy one and stop bothering us about it.

RE: hand fuel pumps?
Get the TowerHobbies brand pump, it's exactly the same as the Hobbico pump, but a few bucks cheaper. Greg

Majortom, I agree, an awesome show. I stopped by for a few hours to catch the Ultimate's perfomance, it was amazing. Greg

RE: Saito V stack
Ernie, The reason it needs one is because I recently installed it in a cowled airplane, and at the end of the day it looks as if it rained fuel on the inside of the cowl.

Saito V stack
I have a Saito 100 that desperatly needs a velocity stack. Has anyone ever made one before? Is it possible to solder a metal tube over the carb? Would that hold up to vibration? If not, Which one is the correct one on the Horizon site? I see three different ones. Thanks, Greg

RE: Dead Plugs
iluimu81, Running it rich gives great torque for 5 minutes then suddenly kills the plug? I don't think so. Also, any engine expert will tell you that an overcompressed engine eats plugs.

RE: Dead Plugs
By removing the head shim, you've increased the compression in your engine. Your engine is now over compressed. A different glowplug will not fix this. You either need to put the head shim back in, or use fuel with less nitro. GL

RE: Beginners confusion on Fuel
They all work. Most people don't add anything to their fuel. You only hear about it when people do add somthing. You don't hear about the 99% of people who leave it alone.

RE: os engines
FHHuber, What makes you think an OS FX (ABN) would outlast a Magnum (ABC)? The os wouldn't even come close the the Magnum, and that's if the OS didn't peel first!

RE: Ultra Stick Setup
Cole, You didn't mention what size ultra stick you had, but I have a US .60 with a Saito 1.00 and its awesome. For control, I have the new JR XP6102, with the standard 537 servos. These servos are definitely strong enough, the control surfaces aren't huge. For the Rx, I just used whatever came with the XP6102. I also found it helpful to mount the servos in the tail. For an engine, if you have the .40, go with the new Saito FA-82, or if that's too expensive, go with the FA-72. This is a really great plane, it deserves a Saito.

OS FL-70 4-stroke?
Anyone know anything about this engine? It looks like OS really cut some corners with the plastic backplate and the airbleed carb. And whats up with the ringless piston and "Areopressure'' system? Hard to tell yet, but this engine looks kind of crappy. GLflyer

RE: Is my Nexstar engine running right
Wall, Try turning the low end needle clockwise an 1/8 of a turn, testing the throttle response and keep turning it clockwise until the response is better. If the engine cuts out immediately when you throttle up, turn the needle back a little. GLflyer

RE: aeroplanes, where are they on the reliablity chart?
Jason, I have rc cars and planes also, and I agree, planes are a lot more fun! They are much more reliable than cars too. There is also a feeling of acomplishment you get after a good flight that you don't get from driving rc cars.

RE: Funtana .40 - Engine Brand and Size ??
Steprman, You are right about the rc car and truck engines being alot harder to operate than plane engines. I have a T-maxx with an OS .15CV-x and going from that to my Saito 100 was like night and day. If you can start and run your HPI, you will have no problems with your Saito. And about the glowplug, break it in with the Horizon plug, then switch to the OS before you fly. You need to switch the plug after break in anyway, and using the OS would just be wasting 7 bucks. Joeb1020, RC car engines are not garbage, they are just harder to tune than the plane engines because they operate at much higher rpms (2.5- 35K) and put out much more power for their size.

RE: OS .32 sleeve peeling
Bill, Thanks for the information. Yes, I did realize it would be about $10 more for the ringed piston/liner than the original abn, however I did not want to experience the peeling a second time, and end up buying a third sleeve.

Also, the engine is mounted sideways on an Ultrastick with about 3 1/2 gallons through it with a 15x6 prop.

Hooter, I also recently started getting that oil you describe, but only in the exhaust valve, after a crash. The engine seems to still be running fine though.

OS .32 sleeve peeling
I have an OS .32sx (airplane version) with cylinder liner peeling problems. It's going to have to be replaced soon and I would rather not pay for the low quality, overpriced ABN replacment sleeve that will probably just peel again. Does anyone know if the Magnum .32 XL ABC replacment piston/sleeve would fit? Has anyone tryed it? Thanks, GLflyer
