RE: 1/6th A-6 Intruder Scratch Build
Never saw the need to do the pump thing with the MAS/flag stuff. It is a simple 2:1 mix. One more thing-if you plan on keeping it around the MAS does not seam to age as well as West. The resin would get that crystal formation thing going. Never had that problem with west. But the prices on the Polymer guys is hard to beat-if you need a bunch the five gallon price is way good. RE: 1/6th A-6 Intruder Scratch Build
Ian, I have used these guys. Cant beat the price-go to their Ebay store for all the different resins. http://cgi.ebay.com/EPOXY-RESIN-MARINE-BOAT-BUILDING-HIGH-IMPACT-32-OZ-KT_W0QQitemZ280255931847QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item41408e25c7 I have used the MAS before- I got inconsistent results with it. Sometimes hard, sometimes more flexable. Scotty

RE: FEJ Where We're Goin' Tomorrow
Nah-Earthquakes are just a free amusement park ride. Didnt mean the Phantom-meant the OTHER f4. F4d Skyray. Like the little one GLobal jet club sells. T-28 or Skyraider are good prop planes.

RE: FEJ Where We're Goin' Tomorrow
HI DJ- How about a larger F4d. Perhaps a bit larger than the Mark Frankel one. 30 pounder or so.And another thing, you need to move out to the west coast. You are just way too much fun for a east coaster. Scotty

RE: Bay Area Ultra Bandit!!
What I did find for sure was that it is very important to make the whole plywood mounting bracket as supported as possible. What can happen is if you have it mounted in a large opening with just the ends supported is the air pressure can bow the bracket making the center port leak. I think the plywood bracket that mine had was also suspect chinawood. Also mount them as close to the center of the wing as possible. THat way if the wing ever rocks fore and aft ( I am sure that would never be the case with the UB though)they wont pull apart and leak. . Looking forward to seeing the beastie at the willow. S

RE: Bay Area Ultra Bandit!!
Hi Raffe, I have had three planes with the EZ's. One was perfect, one OK and one fully psychotic. Never new when it was going to leak. Spent hours and hours adjusting, refitting etc. They do make life much easier though.

RE: Building and Flying the B-2 Stealth Bomber
Great project Bryce. There was a man, and of course I have forgotten his name, that built a XB35 about 15 years ago. It had 4 OS32 heli engines with shaft extensions for power. About 10 foot span or so. He few it with a non computer radio and it flew very well. I saw it fly a couple of times. It crashed when he got disoriented, very easy to do with an all silver flying wing. If you could find him he would be a wealth of info. I think he lived in the Hemet, CA area. You could ask around the old scale guys in the area. Scott

No, you dont know (and didnt care to know but you knew who my friends were) who I am, that was painfully obvious to me at the time. Now to top it off you call me a liar. I really could care less. After thirty-five years in R/C I can afford to choose who I call my friends. Scotty Edited to clarify the issue of my friends. S

RE: Sun Valley Jets (Ron Long's Bad A$$ Jet show)
Just got home. If you werent there you missed out big time. I saw some of the best flying I have ever seen-and I have seen a lot of flying. Shuis flights on the Firebird were nothing short of amazing. (so were his flights on my foamy T-28). Yuris night flight demo was unbelievable. Thanks to Tony for all your hard work, to Ron for putting it on and just being Ron. Joey C-the Hun is stunning. Dougie thanks for the spots and kicking the Ugly Bettys flights to a new level. Todd nice to put a face to the voice on the phone. Just a great time hanging out with everyone. Watching Henry rebirth the hog was a treat. Vinny, Uncle Joe, Lowell,Chad, Ian,Skippy,John, SOAMES, Matt, Bob,Shannon (its raining dollars),Sam Wright, HELL EVERYBODY- I couldnt have had a better time. Best of all NO REPAIR work needed. RE: Heating Oil as fuel
What you really need to know is the sulfur content of the fuel. Sulfur when burned is what reacts with inconel and causes it to degrade rapidly. S
