RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!
I was thinking about this just the other day. I remember when i got this little bipe. It was the coolest thing ever and then i found this forum. The people here were soooo nice and helpful that it allowed this little plane to spur my passion for rc flight. Here it is today, 2+years later and im a fairly good 3-d pilot i just got my first cp heli, Its a double brushless 4g3. I never once thought id be flying something as advanced as this and it all started with that beautiful little bi-plane. I wish to thank you Tim and everyone else here as well for making this small toy turn into a full blown addiction :)

Have any of you seen this yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvBobSj2K4g Its called the Air hogs Switchblade. Walmart carries it for 64.99. A little steep i think, i might get one if it goes below 50.

I have a quick battery question, I charge my batts with a turnigy acucell-6 and charge them to 4.20v, the stock battery which says 110mAh will take on 150-160mAh and im not even flying it to lvc. Do you think is alright?

RE: Sukhoi Su-26M BNF by ParkZone
Well i got home from work today and there sat this little package, Im not expecting anything, i told myself so i looked who it was from and it was from Horizon Hobby. Much to my suprise it was the ar6400 they said wouldnt be shipped till mid-late aug. I took the mcx board out and popped the ar6400 back, hooked it up and let her rip. The ar6400 is way more responsive than the mcx board. I had to click the duel rates on the mcx controller for the first 2 batts. After that though it was back to full rates. I must say horizon supprized me with their fast service when my ar6400 broke

RE: Sukhoi Su-26M BNF by ParkZone
Well i broke both my props and was on the hunt for a replacement when i found an old rubberband powered plane with a gillows d5 prop, the shaft was smaller than the sukhoi's so it threaded right on. Let me tell you if you want a faster plane than go find one of these. I dont have any equipment to test the load on the motor or esc so use at your own risk. its 126mm long but i dont know the cut. Id say it goes 2 if not 3 times faster. Ill get some vids tomarow my camera doesnt film well at night.

Tim, my problem isnt the servoes, i did that and got and mcx one but it still didnt work. Horizon is sending me a new brick free of charge. In the mean time i took one of my mcx bricks and transplanted it to the sukhoi, i have elevator and aileron. it flies pretty good, guess itll have to do till the new brick comes

This is really getting old, i bought a mcx back when and 1 motor went out the day i bought it. damn this sucks. Good news, horizon is sending me a new board free of charge :) just have to wait till they get back in stock :(

RE: Sukhoi Su-26M BNF by ParkZone
Well i picked mine up from the hobby shop today. I dont know if im the first but i bound mine to my mcx tx as thats all i have now in 2.4. So far i see no problems yet, ive ran 6 packs out without problems. since i cant adjust rates i clicked the right stick in for low rates and it flies great. Full rates its a handfull, i dont know if its me or the bird, a few more days with low rates and ill start flying high and see how it goes. So i recommend it if all you have is a mcx/vapor tx and if for some reason it doesnt work well a dx5i is only 50 bucks. And with all the bnf stuff parkzone is coming out with we all need a good 2.4 tx.

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!
Hey guys, i got a new bird the other day. Exceed Rc F 18 tiger meet, 64mm edf, 1300 11.1. I know its off topic but this is where i got my start and i like to let everyone know what im flying. Heres a video of my very first flight. Id never flown an edf jet on sim either. Let me tell you its a knee knocking flight. I just wasnt used to the sheer speed. Id say 60-80 mph, maybe more. Tim i recomend an edf be added to your hanger. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb54JR8kXAQ

RE: Fun with Flat Foam
Hi all, I found a good source of light foam. The Dollar Tree has sheets of 5mm foam that is really lite. I use it to make a bunch of flatouts, deltas. and pbf. Heres a few vids of them. I used a 850kv outrunner, 18a esc, 10x4.7, 7.4 800mah. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guAoPQbjhLQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXKzwpCokq0 That plane was made out of 1 sheet of foam. All the gear came out of a parkflyers gebee 3d.

Its really fun, just make sure they know how fragile these micro's are :) I just noticed m last post was removed, whats up with that. all i said was i had a nib starscream for sale because tornado siad he couldnt find any aero aces.

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T
Im a huge parkflyers fan. Ive bought 2 Gee Bee 3d from them. It was the first rc plane i tried. I flew my first one for 4 months untill it was to heavy from hot glue :). Then i took all the ele. off and made my own planes. The gee bee flew sooooo good i had to have another on. Here is some vids off the first gee bee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwWRmxyGo0c&feature=channel_page and here is one of the planes i made with the gee bee stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guAoPQbjhLQ&feature=channel_page http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXKzwpCokq0&feature=channel

Keep us posted micro, I want to see a true micro 3dish plane. A quick update on my MCX, I stripped one down to just frame, and batt and it flies fine. My next step isto make a cardstock deathstar and put around it. If anyone knows of some cardstock plans let me know.
