ORIGINAL: FalconWings Thanks Gary, did you used to fly here?
No...But usually when I travel, I try to check out the local flying sites. This just happened to be one of the sites that I had visited a few times. There is also a good hobby shop north of the field that caters to jets.

RE: AMT - 180
I got the dents out without taking the cover off. Soldered a piece of small steel rod to the outside and pulled. A very light tap with a body hammer at the crease and POP! went the dent. Yippee!!!

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
Today was cold, raining and windy so I thought Huh! great day to test fly my Nano(thanks geh3). I only have a 7lb turbine (Simjet 700-no longer in prodicution) and the plane is about 11.3 lbs dry. It has the dream works retracts and trailing links (Nice!!). Any how, the test flight and subsequent flights were totally fine. It was a bit slow on the climb out but once it got moving, it was fine. I have all the same settings as my Intro, I kick the rudders in, flap, and crow. It makes the Nano land at a snails pace. This suits my needs as I will be using this to B-box a bunch of people at my field. This is a non-threatening way to get any curious fliers time on a jet (just so they can say they did it).
ORIGINAL: Mavrik! I have a Rabbit also looking for a home. Does anyone want to sell me their Flash that is gathering dust in the corner? Mav
I doubt you will find someone willing to sell a flash that is gathering dust. Judging by how my flash flew yesterday, it is very easy to dust them off with just a push of the left stick.

RE: CARF Flash, best sports jet ever?
Finally flew the Flash today. I must say, this thread is "BANG ON". I set it up exactly as you guys have recomended and it flew great. I had 3/4 of the aileron asp er the manual and it was twitchy but not too bad. And 30lbs of of thrust makes it take off like being fired out of a gun. Whoo Hoo! Your recomended flap and crow required no trim change. I slowed it down, dropped the flap and crow and it was rock steady. Nice gentle sink on the approach and a sweeettt flare. Gotta like it....

RE: CARF Flash, best sports jet ever?
Question for those that have set up flash's. If my CG is at 365, landing flaps at 45mm and crow at 10mm, do you think I will need any down elev. mix?

RE: Best way to transport..
I have a 5 x 8 trailer. I put a wall 2/3 the way up the middle and have four shelves that slide out. Two on each side. The bottom one is about 12 inches off the floor. This allows me to carry 4 jets and aux equipment. My shade tent and chairs go under the bottom shelves. I put a box on the tongue that holds my fuel jugs. The pull out shelves also double as a work bench. I got this idea from Todd at Dreamworks. He had a trailer set up similar.

RE: CARF Flash, best sports jet ever?
ORIGINAL: Dave Wilshere Rich When I said more flap I did mean area (length). Because the Flash (and Lightning) have the airbrake blade I found that lots of flap made the elevator a little dead. I run 40-45mm Flap with 10mm raised ailerons in landing mode. For TO I have around 18mm flap. With the crow the Flash sits slightly nose up adding drag. Regards Dave
Are you using the flight modes as the manual states or do you have one set up?

Is there anything I may have missed that I should look at doing during the build?

RE: Has this ever happened to anyone?
If after numerous flights, your landings are getting worse, it is likely that you are getting more comfortable flying at higher speeds. What you are probably not doing is realizing how slow your plane can fly. Before you set up for a landing, do a few circuits slow. get a feel for how slow the plane will fly and what power settings are required to maintain flight. This power setting is what you will use to fly your plane in on your approach. A lot of people rip around with a jet then when it comes time to land, they do not know how slow the plane flies. They either come in too hot or too slow and bounce the landing (or worse). So, take it up, slow it down, have fun flying it slow and get comfortable with it at slow sppeds.
