I know what you mean, I try to make the Skydiver rallys since we have so few. It's a 8 hour drive to Muncie for me that's getting close to the max. I would want to drive. Not saying I would rule out one farther away, but I would have to think about it more.

Hello Don, Well, l I have made a few drops already this year. I had intentions on getting my first drop on New Years Day, but my plane didn't want to cooperate. As far as participation in events, I have been to; CORKS field in OH 3 times (1998,2009, 2010) Somerset KY 1 time (the only one they had) New Albany IN 3 times, I think ( however many Wil had) Muncie IN 1999-2011 (all they have had) Don, how many Rally's have you been to?

Happy New Year to you Don, and everyone else, Well, has anyone had their first drop for 2012 yet, I had planned to on New Years Day, but the plane didn't want to cooperate (engine kept stopping, had two dead stick landings) Just what I need, something else to work on.

Hi Superbee, We dropped a few times down at the 3D line at the last Joe Nall with the Telemaster here. (this pic is from the Muncie meet back in September, I think we have five jumpers on it in this pic) Colton Clark piloted for us.

Pieter, I did a lot of copy and paste from the rule book to a translator program, and understood most of it. Is there a website where people post video from the european contest, I guess I should search youtube. I think Juan is bringing a 55 gallon barrel of orange paint to paint the dropzone at Muncie this year. Heck, he may just borrow one of the highway line painting trucks, and mark off the size of a football field.

I see Theo finished in first place.............for the Belgians, huh, I guess that puts you last in that catagory, sorry I couldn't resist, Congrats to Pieter for his 17th place finish. Is there an English copy of the rule book, I translated some of it with Google. Is the 1200 score from landing out side of the target area? Tried to figure it out by looking at the rule book. Where does the 700 come from? landing on the round target area. This came from the rule book. Landing "Outside" 1200 pts 0 pts Landing "in place" 700 pts 0 pts It looks like there was a good turn out with 71 contestants. Frank, It is set up for four, but I have never flown it with four jumpers. I usually take the Stik it is much easier to haul and put together. I have only flown it with 2 jumpers a few times, most of the time when it takes up jumpers I'm flying one of the jumpers and someone else is flying the plane. GaryV

Frank I haven't seen a flier for the event, I went to the sponsoring Clubs website but there was nothing there either. The only info I have seen is what is in the AMA magazine. I sent Mac a link to this thread, so maybe he will post more information here so people that haven't been to the past events will have an idea of the event times. Gary

Hi Dave, That sounds like a pretty high drop. I bought an Eagle Tree system for my drop plane over a year ago and still haven't got it installed. Maybe I will get it in before the upcoming Muncie rally. Just guessing I never thought any of my drops were over 1000 ft. Are you going to make the Muncie Rally in September? Gary V
