RE: Extreme Flight 88
For my DA85 build, I was thinking CF LG may be better. 4 oz toward offsetting the heaveir (by 1.3 lb) engine. A hard landing will save the expensive 3 blade prop, but a very hard landing will F*** everything up! So many tradeoffs, not enought money..... Gatorb8

RE: A123 Failure Modes
'open" basically means a break in the circuit (a wire or the battery cell) as opposed to a "short" which means the battery cell positive and negative are contacting each other or the wires from the positive and negatige are contacting / touching each other If the failed battery reads zero voltage and will not take a charge, then seperate the cells, I usually find one is good and one is bad. the good one will read voltage greater than zero, the bad one will read zero and be "open" because the 2 cell battery read zero volts when together If the failed battery reads 2-3 volts, seperate the cells, one will probably be good, and you can conclude the other is shorted because the pair (or whole battery read greater than zero something like that......... gb8
