RE: RB classico 10???
ORIGINAL: D.DJ Nice stuff, but the Michael Slaven's name is actually Michael SALVEN, unless there is a guy named Slaven. German dude, Head Honcho of Serpent? Still sweet stuff you've got going on there! Im getting the RB T10 for my RRR in a few weeks, cant wait to get it!
LOL I thought it was spelled like that, and yeah I too can't wait...... Getting a RB touring10 for your RRR is a good look too.

RE: RB classico 10???
ORIGINAL: D.DJ You dont have to send it off to anyone to replace the bearings, all you need is an oven! Just heat it up to 200 deg celsius and up, put just the crankcase with the bearings (of course) and let it sit in there for a while. Once it's heated up, all you do is tap out the bearings! Some require a little work, but usually a tap is all it needs. Once they're out, stick the case in again to heat it up so the seats expand again, then put the bearings in again - with the main bearing, put it in while its on the crankshaft so it goes straight in, the outer bearing isnt hard to put in. Let it cool and that's it! Ive never had a problem doing that to any engine. Just lube it up a little and its good to go.
LOL were so old school, I used a heat gun with a small piece of wood to tap it out....... I know how to get them out, but I talked to Jake from Voodoo mods and he'll do it for free when the other work is done...

RE: Nova Flash .12 Tuned Vs RB M3 Vs Sirio XXX and others.
Not for nothin I use to race 1/10 class with a serpent 705 and a mugen mtx3 and the Hottest motors back then was the Nova Mega and the RB .12 5port engines, and I just seen a Nova Mega 5port on Ebay going for $259....... Those were Kings in my day back when I was running a modded Michael Slaven Nova Mega sx .12 3port turbo in my Serpent and Mugen, but I was right with them. But if anything just get the RB M3 or opp for that crazy Novarossi Flash 5 port turbo($$$). You can't go wrong with either one, and remember your coming from a Picco.....

RE: RB classico 10???
Well I did some research and found out the RB C5 motors have the same crank & bearing (confirmed stock numbers that also relayed to a size for the bearing)....... So I ordered TKO F/R ceramic bearing for my Classico 10. When they come, it's off to VooDoo!!!!!!!!! My mrx4x should be killer with the motor......

RE: Novarossi 5XLT vs Plus 4 vs Werks B5
I can see in the future that .28 engines will be no longer in the truggy class...... Even I opted for a Hot Mods RB C6 T7 for my O'Donnell Z01-T and it has more than enough power for the track. But out of those motor I would choose the Novarossi 5XLT and the Werks B5 for a close second. I would go with the plus 4, it alittle down on power and rpm compared to the others.

RE: Best pipe for MMGT 3.0?
DO yourself a favor and keep the stock pipe because it flows alot better then the revo pipe which makes for good top-end, plus it gives you decent low and mid-range power. I myself had the traxxas revo 5490 pipe that I just got sold on ebay because it was choking the hell out of my O.S. .18tz motor. I'm much happier mmgt pipe.....

The OS .18 tz makes phenomenal power (more power than most .21 sized big blocks), and I don't know if that Monster T drivetrain can handle it........ Plus what if something breaks???? What LHS are you going to???? Sorry not to hate or nothin, I thinks those china, taiwan, or japanese made eBay spec cars are a waste of time and money....... IMO

RE: Anyone Have a Mini MGT?
ORIGINAL: MGTMONSTER whats a good breakin procedure? [:-]
LOL Normally I just let idle for 3-4 tanks (rich) with little throttle blimps in case it wants to cut off. Then on the 5th tanks I lean it out alittle and drive around (but taking it easy), and every gas tank after gets leaned some more. This will do for most motors but some with take longer than others. In fact in my Michael Salven Novamega .12 turbo in Mugen MTX-3 had done this process almost 3 times before it was broken in. My OS .18tz took some time but not as long as the Nova, but they both made some nice power once it finally did.....

RE: Anyone Have a Mini MGT?
Well I listen to you guys, and I realized I love this MMGT tooooo much. So I did some changes today on the truck. I first took off the Traxxas 5490 Revo tuned pipe because I believe it was choking my motor all across the OS .18tz power band (And I was dead on about). Next I took off the Integy shocks and finally installed the MGT 8.0 one per corner. So I was a little bored today and packed the truck up and headed to the beach............. And WOW the truck ran and handled so much BETTER, now it pulls right through the rpm without any hesitation and topend it runs twice as hard as the AE .18 motor. The only problem for the day as once again my truck has converted back to 2wd, which sucks but I still drove it and had a kick ass time doing power slides, drifts, and donuts!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will take some new pics also!!!!!!

In all honesty with the aluminum parts do you think its beefier, meaning its pretty tough or does it feel like it will break? RE: 4.6 or tmaxx?
I'd worked on Tmaxx's and Savage's (XL and X), and I've driven a MGT 8.0.................. Out of those three, I would pick a MGT 8.0 because of price and its the only that has a FM radio (has a 10 memory model as well). It's maybe not the best handling, one of the most toughest...........Guaranteed BTW I currently own a full metal mini MGT with an OS .18TZ, and both owners of the Savages wants to buy it off from me....
