Retracts!!! [quote]ORIGINAL: tsyssa The little Sdowner airframe is basically all stock too. I would really like to put some thinner wheel pants on it. The wheels and pants are HUGE for this plane. It takes the same size front wheels and pants as my AW Yak 73''!!! Actually the ones on my AW Yak were about 1 oz lighter in total. [/quote]

I broke a blade grip too, got away with CA'ing it for now. LHS has it in stock, will get a few this weekend. This is a seriously fun heli. Whats up with the calibration tool? I used it but can't tell if it did anything. Joe

Thanks e-flight for coming through with great new heli that is not just another micro, this flies significantly different from the MCX and is a step up for me. I have a lot of practicing to do! RE: Sepulveda Basin
Ron was a good guy and we were just talking about him a few weeks ago, he did the most badasss suicide slip from 400 feet with that pink lazer with a YS120 that said rock and roll. Very interesting flyer and super high energy ratchet snaps, kind of a Leo Loudenslager of RC to me. Always helping new guys learn to fly too. I miss him and the idea that he will just come around sometime, defiantly inspired me and pushed me to fly harder. I saw him a while back in OSH getting more supplies for the full scale plane he was building, we had a good talk for a while. He was dressing in shop coveralls, dirty as hel1 and a big frickin smile on his face...............

RE: DA50-is it worth the extra $$$
My experience with the DA50 is excellent, I've had 2 and loved them, will have another in the future. The quality is not matched by any eastern company and it's my personal choice to buy from an american company who stands behind their product. The customer service is second to non, they really took care of my engines and now my DA100L. $200 is the price of 1.5 quality servos, pretty small amount in the long run and the larger picture. Good luck with your choice and your project flyerdave! Joe

RE: DA100 Idle problem - ideas?
Hi Mark, these are all good suggestions. I've had these problems and found, servo, linkage, low needle, carb, heat, and bad gas (water=heat) were my problems. Yours seems like fuel delivery. If you can give DA a call and get some support, you will most surly resolve you problem this way. DA 520.722.0607 HTH Joe

Ryan, I can see what you mean by smooth and graceful, this must be an excellent up close view. [image]{akamaiimageforum}/upfiles/8095/Ct17100.jpg[/image] There is no headache in this scheme that I can see, [image]http://image2-9.rcuniverse.com/e1/forum/upfiles/8095/Zf87889.jpg[/image] I've got 15 gallons through a QQ102yakgen4DA100Lmuffs in the past few weeks and though I like flying it, the scheme is busy. Will look around and if anything inspires send Ken or Herve a note. Great flying Ken!!! Any idea if the production model could come in at 15lbs? Joe PS, John, you are a legend with the camera and a Fury Driver!
