Loss in revenue, as that site is the competition. Any business man see's the loss in dollars. But then and again if sites could corroborate with out stealing information/posts and calling it as their own on site to steal traffic is what he is trying to prevent.
ORIGINAL: hezik The Mac vs PC discussion is one no-one can win, since there is no real difference, it's just what you're used to. Well setup and sensibly used both platforms are very capable. If you have a PC and you're fed up with windows, download and install Ubuntu (linux). Whichever platform you choose, install an appropiate anti-virus solution (and avoid Norton as the plague) and a good anti-spyware solution and keep things (operating system, anti-virus, anti-spyware) up-to-date, and use some common sense. Nice feature of the Apple products, is that they integrate well. Most of the neat tricks are available for PC's as well, but on Apple it's easier to set up.
You may have gotten this from RCU, you may have not. I believe there would be a lot more complaints as the techies would definitely be pointing fingers. At this point, based on your description, you must have gotten the bug else where. Sorry joining the banter that steered this thread away from your original topic.

Should be noted, techies use "ALL FLAVORS OF OS'S" (MAC, Windows, Linux, Unix, etc) I know quiet a few that use all, and have a central personal file server for all photos, & docs that can be accessed via any computer on the home network. Fact is, they each have their selling points and advantages that make not one product that will do everything. Though you can use one (Linux) and modify it to hell with software packages to do everything for.... well.... free!! [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

RE: Is 300 to hot for a new motor
ORIGINAL: supertib most hand help temp guns are useless and inaccurate,,,use the spit test, it is the most consistent and accurate method.....dribble some spit on the cooling head, if it sizzles of instantly you are too hot.....if it takes 3-5 seconds to bubble off you are right in the range.... Temp guns are useless and should not be used when tuning a nitro engine.....I see temp guns read all over the place, some read too high, some read too low, but very few actually read accurately....... I see soo many rookies get right screwed up because they are more worried about what some cheap ass junk temp gun is telling them instead of listening to what the engine is telling them......... Also 300 is not too hot for a nitro...250-300 is nothing for these, aluminum melts at 1500 F.... so an extra 50 degrees is nothing..........Tune by sound and performance and use the spit test as reference.......its that simple...take your temp gun and crunch it under your boot heel, as it has no place in tuning a nitro....
That is if you choose to buy the cheap Hobby one, be smart, shop S-Mart and go buy a good one at your local hardware store, 50+ bucks.

RE: Four Star 60 dies on maiden day.
So question, brown outs caused by temp loss of good supply of power, correct? I am kinda a newbie, 3 flights would be pushing my gut feeling for battery life. I do have a voltage indicator. Never done 3 flights on a single battery. Considering flights are both 10 mins. That is 25-30 mins that battery has been on considering pre-flight checks and all. My bat is also the same size as the one in the video if that is the one you used in your plane. Just a simple observation, opinion, not flaming anybody or any piece of hardware or vendor.

Wow, got it good here. 150 bucks to get it going. I think vehicle registration is something like 75 bucks now here, so each year. Then every 5 yrs, last update was 20 bucks for written test, then 56 for road test license. I live in a small town, and I truly have to go up hill home and to work..... 14 percent grades, poor bike!!

I have to say, reason 2.4 is failing is human error. After all we are all human and forget something until after the fact.... I had a bought a nice 2.4 ghz phone, lasted my wife and I 3 years, then it failed. Phillips brand. Scary stuff, I guess if point is to be made, everything will break.... (and read the fine print)

RE: makes me angry again!!!!
It is great that Chuck Norris used to clean your pool. On my statement I find this the most important statement: Figure out the source of your problem, before shelling out more money for a piece of crap that keeps breaking over and over again. That is what is pissing his dad off..... Either drive the RC for which it was designed for, or figure out why the damn motor keeps blowing. By approaching a problem with this ideology, you will also hopefully en-grain the same troubleshooting techniques for resolving other problems as they arise in life. Cars, future home, computers, All terrain vehicles, motor boats, etc the list goes on. Sorry if I was not clear on my point, I hope I am now.

RE: makes me angry again!!!!
@ osxpro: You are right on the money, only 30 yrs myself and I always am open for suggestions. I have protected myself from oneself foolish decisions by remembering what my old folks taught me about adhering to advice and look at problems from all angles, and not keep throwing money at the problem. [8|] more motors [;)] Life is hard, the word "No" needs to be taken with a finding a new approach to your problem. By all means, old folks are all for advancement, and pushing the boundaries of science & research, and having fun, but they know the limits by telling lessons learned. Some are more ignorant than others in conveying this message.

Wow... I am leaving, you kids make me sick. Entitlement is what you think.... learn to work for a penny, that is your parents secret lesson. Your parents were also turned down for silly items. For all those posts that say "I break a part every ten minutes" that is not part of the hobby, you are being too aggressive.
