RE: Military colors only at warbird meets?
Thought that I would add one more comment or can even consider it a question. The war birds in question may have had great paint schemes when they came out of the factory. But after being in a war theatre and being patched up to keep them flying and in the war, who knows what those original war bird schemes looked like ? History shows that the last B-25 produced was bare aluminum with no paint. The only paint on the aircraft were the signatures of the people that worked on the aircraft. That B-25 was flown in combat, exactly as it came from the factory, with only the peoples signatures on it. Now, if somebody showed up at this so called war bird event with an all aluminum B-25 paint scheme and only a bunch of names on it, would he and the aircraft be barred from flying in the event ? My personal opinion is that a war bird is a WAR BIRD, no matter what the scheme. A P-51 with a Miss America paint scheme is still a " P-51 ". And if my senior citizen memorey serves me correctly, P-51's were WAR BIRDS ! [:D] I would tell the event director ......... BITE ME !!!! [:)]

At a loss of words on this subject. I can only assume that the hobby is changing with every new generation. As Dr. Phil recently stated, " We have grown so politically correct that we have become STUPID ". [:o]

[quote]ORIGINAL: Edge 540 I was just curious if there are more people out there that fly their planes through the sequence rather than using mixes. I know that it is kind of rare on my part, however I feel that it is more challenging and '' fun '' to fly the plane through the entire sequence than using a crutch such as mixes. I fly everything from Small electrics to Turbine Jets, and I can honestly say that I do not fly any mixes on my planes. Who's with me !!!! :) Happy Flying !!!! RE: Twin .61 prop question
I think that you are going through a lot of time and trouble for no reason. From what I have observed, counter rotating props only exist in the real world. And besides, the only reason for two engines is for when one engine quits the other takes you to the scene of the accident. [:D] One other suggestion and that is as previously stated, do not lean one engine to match the RPM of the other. I personally would rather run both a little on the rich side while trying to MATCH rpm's. YES, I said MATCH rpm's. If you are to far off, you will be creating a yaw problem.

RE: How to rejuvenate a long stored OS 1.08 ?
Have done this before with good results. Even though some may disagree with it. Soak it in Acetone. That should free it up. Then I would load it up with Marvel Mystery Oil or as one member said, you could also use SeaFoam. After this you should at least be able to get it to turn over. If it does turn over freely, then I would try starting it. Keep in mind though, even if it does start and run, you may still need new bearings. Had a Saito 91 and the bearings had come apart, but it still ran with a little grinding noise. [:)] Sent it away for a rebuild and I am still flying it to this day. Good luck with your engine and kindly keep us posted on how it turns out. [:D]

DLE 20 for Eindecker 90 ?
Mounted a DLE 20 in my Aeroworks Extra 300, but have not even fired it up yet. Already thinking about my upcoming winter build, which I think will be a Balsa USA Eindecker 90. Also thinking about a DLE 20 in the Eindecker. Any opinions or other recommendations ? My other engine choice for this build would be a Saito 91. [:D]

Not trying to sway your model selection. But, have you also considered the GP " Revolvers " ? You might want to look at them, before your place your order. I have the larger Revolver, with a Saito 91. Real nice flyer. [;)] Or, you can go electric. [:D]
