RE: True Electric Raptor?
well, I have one of these heli's. Im running a Z50-800A motor, A pheonix 85HV esc and two 4s1p 3200 mah batteries for a 8s setup. Let me tell you. this is the most stable most power most aggressive heli I have ever owned... period. This heli is awsome, I cant even compare it to the trex 600, Not even in the same class. this thing has so much power its not even funny. well worth evry penny I put into it. I was thinking of going to a 10s setup but I cant justify it, too much power.

Hello again, here are some more pic's for you. I hovered it for the first time yesterday, A few small trim adjustments and I could almost go hands off while hovering. This thing has a very solid locked in feel.

Hey guys, I dont know if you guys are into Electrics or not, But here is my ElectroRaptor Titan. It's the E620 SE not a convertion. It came standard with push/pull linkages metal head and swash and carbon lower frames and tail fins. Im running a Z-power Z50A-800 motor and a Pheonix 85HV ESC with an 8 cell Lipo battery. This thing is SWEET!!!

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion
Ok, Im setting up my Titan E620 for the first time. And ive decided to go with 1600rpm in normal mode, and approx 1800rpm in idle up. I am thinking of putting my pitch curve at -5, +5, +10 in normal and -12, 0, +12 in idle up. I was thinking of going very soft in normal mode somewhere around -2, +3, +7 in normal mode. sinse im +just learning, to make a hover a little easyer. or should I stick to the original plan? Any thoughts on this?

RE: Raptor 30 nose drifts left in heading hold
first off, are you running a digital servo? if not change DS to normal mode for DS is specificly for a Digital Servo. next in AVCS mode or HH mode go to the gyro settings in your radio and select HH in the menu and turn off your gyro gain (in the radio) finally, if your gyro still does not hold, try making small ajustment to the gyro's Gain knob, keep increasing the value until you've reached 100% or the gyro holds its heading. if you reach 100% gain and the gyro does not hold, you need a longer servo arm for your rudder servo, install the longer arm and start the gain process all over again. This should cure any gyro problems you are having. I hope this helps.

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion
So I was setting up govener mode on my ESC and I had to stop, what head speed should I be running for a titan? I'm looking for easy hovering and slow stable forward flight. I can dial in my head speed to almost whatever I want, but I dont know what I want. should I go for 1500 rpm's 1600? 1900? 2500? I'm not sure what to start with. I was wondering If someone could give me a starting point, and maybee tell me what the effects will be of raising my head speed. what will I notice between 1500 rpm's and 1900 rpm's?

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion
thats a sweet titan man. And no my heli did not come with a motor or ESC, I went with a Z-Power Z50A-800 780Kv and a Pheonix 85HV speed controller, with an 8 cell lipo, this motor turnes 4000 kilowatts approx 5 horse power (I think) It has alot of power to burn anyway. Anyway I love your color sceam I think its cool when people keep it the same throughout the bird. as apposed to blue fins purple bolts and a red canopy... you get the idea.

everything is level but it has a tendancy to lean right and back during takeoff. then it drifts left once off the ground but I dont know if its my stick inputs that are doing it. to counter the right leaning.

RE: Best place to purchase raptor e series??
hi, there I got my 620 from infinity rc corp (do a search) for 355.00 usd, best price on the web. they also carry the Z power Z50A-800 motor for 119.00 this is the best motor for the E620 well i think so anyway. they have good service and fast shipping, give em a try, youll be happy that you did. Also get the E620 you will spend a little more but it is well worth the extra cost. here are some pics, oh and the hardest thing to put together was the canopy[:D]

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion
ok I just spooled up this thing for the first time, wow what a difference size makes. However I am a noob and I was wondering if you guys could tell me exatcly how you take off? How does the heli act just before lift off? if the heli has a tendency to try and tip over is that normal just before take off or is an adjustment needed? should I try and adjust the heli so it lifts off the ground level? or should I bite the bullet, take off to a few feet and then see how the heli acts? please help. thanks you.

RE: What other electric heli manufacturer specific forums should we add to this section?
I think you need one for the full size electric helis such as the thunder tiger E550 and E620, but you can name it "Full Size" so it can encompass the align trex 600 and all the leptron modles as well.

RE: Walkera 60 is it worth trying to fly it.
ok, here is the deal... walkera's can be good little heli's, but because of there size and collective pitch (the blades can rotate) they are recommended for inermediate to advanced pilots. however you can lean on one too... I did. so first thing is first, do you have training gear? if not, buy some as they are cheap and will save you lots of time and money. second, do you have a lazy susan or turn table? if not, I would recommend getting one, for they are invaleable when it comes to setting up the tail of a heli. (just strap the heli to it and spin up the blades, you will intantly know if your tail is set right.) third, a sim is an awsome tool, use it. fourth, learn your controller, how to set it up and what everything does, the settings make a HUGE differnce with the walkera, pay close attention to the EXPO settings as well as the pitch and throtle curves. fifth, keep lots of parts on hand, especially flybars main blades and the z shape holder in the head, for these parts break the most often. And for flying, to start with, drawl a 24x24" square on the ground, place the heli in the center and stand approx 10 feet behind it, lift off approx 6". try and keep the heli in the square by only making the smallest movements on the controller (less than 1/4" in all directions) this will give you a "visual referance" and help teach you how to hover, if you ever panic! just drop the throtle to zero and the training gear will save your heli. If the heli goes outside the square, this is important, land the heli walk over to it, pick it up and set it back in the center of the square. Don't try and fly it back ever, this will only cause pain... trust me. when you can easley keep it inside the square move up to 24" to 36" and try again, only this time you must keep the heli at the altitude as well ( between 24 and 36" ) Once you can master this, you are ready to start flying your helicopter. I hope this helps, for it is how I learned to fly and I find it to be a good tecnique. good luck and have fun.

RE: New Heli, trex600, raptor E620 or raptor 50?
thank you lithiumstatic for that reply. I was wondering how you wire 2 4 cells together? do you conect the + side of one to the - side of the other, and use the remaning + and - to connect to the heli? Also I might have found a good deal on some 4s1p 3100 mah batteries, under 50.00 each. I was wondering what kind of flight times I could expect from a 3100mah 8s2p setup?

Raptor E620SE, does anyone have one?
hello, I was wondering if anyone has a raptor E620SE. I just purchased a kit for 137.50 on ebay (I could not pass it up) so I was wondering if anybody knows anything about them? I know they are basicly the raptor 50 titan, refitted for electric use. But I don't know how they fly. Also if anyone knows what motor/ESC combo these birds take, please let me know. Does anyone know how the E620 compares to a trex 600? that was the other heli I was looking at. Anyway, any information on this would be helpfull, thanks

I dont need anything fancy cuz I will only be doing some basic FF and hovering for a while. and depending on the price of the motor/esc I might resale it for around 425.00 or so and buy a trex 600.

New Heli, trex600, raptor E620 or raptor 50?
Hello, It is time to upgrade, I want a 50 size heli, I have been flighing a 400 class electric for approx 2 years now, and I want a bigger bird. I am undecided on whitch heli to get, I was thinking I love electric heli's and would love to keep flying them. so should I get a Trex 600, a Rapter E620, or should I go with a nitro bird and get a raptor 50 titan, I have all the support gear of a nitro but I enjoy the convienance of electric. So I was wondering what you all think. My new bird needs to be easy to set up, and maintain as well as have parts that dont cost a fortune to replace when broken. Also does anyone know what motor/ESC the E620 uses? and also what battery? if it takes a smaller motor and battery than the trex 600 it might be a viable option for me.
