Ok listen up if you want to post here!
This forum is for R/C related humor but we have let it slide a lot, now we are having it go way over the line and it will stop. We will not tolerate off color humor nor will we allow political humor to be posted. If I find more like I have seen lately I will without prejudice close down the thread with no notification to the poster, now let's get back on track.

RE: GrnBrt - Art Grabow SR in the Hospital
Hideho all, As mentioned in a previous post, here are the adresses for the memorial, and the Grabow home, so that those who wish to send a card can do so. The memorial is Saturday 2:00 PM Lamb of God Church at Zion Luthern School 3923 103rd AV. S.E Everett, WA (more like Snohomish) Do a map quest search for best directions P. Grabow 2118 Jackson Ave. Everett, WA. 98203 I have printed out the thread for Peg thus far, and asked her if she had any comments, at this time she is just too overwhelmed by the Love shown by all, Peg says that she will get back to you all at a later time to share her thoughts. Best to you all, Mike Bogh

RE: How hard is it to shoot someone down
California law where I was a cop a felony doesn't have to be commited in front of law enforcement for a person to be arrested. A misdeamenor (sp?) has to be commited in front of a cop for them to be arrested, exception to that would be someone else who has seen it happen willing to step forward and place the person under citizens arrest good luck with that one![8|]

If memory serves me right they wanted the retract servo and related gear to be mounted in the fuselage where only a small hand could reach, don't do it. Just mount all of it in the center of the wing.
I thought Art's story was gonna end with something like, "so then we went out and ambushed them and cut off their ears" or something good like that but, noooooo..... we get a sappy ending. Com'on Art, throw us a bone here. I just get so f-ing sentimental this time of year.
Sorry BB about the ending as it was to remember more or less to write. When morning came we sent recon out and I'll be dipped if they weren't all gone. I guess it was their Chriatmas present to us as they really had us out numbered.

Favorite xmas song.
I think that everone has a favorite and since it's the season I thought it would be fun to find out what they are, me it's Silent Night. I have to admit that it brings back a scary christmas of 1966. We were at the parrots beak at a FOB and it was raining like I have seen it rain. Recon came in and said we were surrounded by about a company of NVA regulars, not good. So here we are waiting for the attack and TOP comes in, sits down and we start talking of home when one of the guys gets up and walks to the other end of the tent, gets his harmonica out and plays silent night. We at that time got up, went to our cots and I swear there wasn't a dry eye amongst us, still love it though.

What you do is up to you but a PM is just that, a private message. I did it that way as to not embarress you, didn't work I see. J_R you got caught in a lie and that really bothers you as it would anyone now settle back down and stay a contributing member as you are, don't want to then that's up to you also.

J_R has never been a moderator of this forum or any other one for that matter and J_R you state that you didn't create the title, bullpuckies! You have to go into your profile and manually change your custom title from the one the system gives you.
edit: If you don't like the content, that is another matter, but, as with the title, I did not create that either.
The Royal kit is a nice but when compared to the Skyshark kit it really lacks. You don't have to carve and sand a bunch of wood![X(] The manufacturer is Marutaka by the way.

RE: Let's see your work shop!
I have seen some pretty nice work shops and somewhere in this thread is mine, at least I think I posted some. I think sometimes we forget just how good we have it here when it comes to our hobby and don't think about what it's like in other countries where space and hobby shops are limited. My good friend dimitry and godbrother has to have a great wife as she found him probably the last T/F P-39 aircobra in Moscow and he sent me this picture of where he's building it, yup under the stairs. Yes we are lucky and I sure do hope dimi don't mind me posting this.

RE: Anyone recognize this Kit
Mark's Models was very popular in the 70's and early 80's and the kits built very well. If you are a beginner then please put this one on the shelf as it is a builders kit and even harder to fly due to it being so short coupled and touchy on the controls. Now we can solve this problem really easy by you just sending it to me as I love these bipes![;)][8|]

RE: Anyone Used Fabric to Cover the 4*120?
I had a nice conversation with Bruce about using different types of coverings and the ones he said to stay away from when covering these planes were the fabric ones. He said that the airframe gets a lot of its strength from the plastic coverings where the fabric doesn't do that, hope this helps.

RE: AMA Discounts for Disabled Flyers
Let me add here also as I am disabled. I lost my ability to do what I loved as a job many years ago (law enforcement) and the disability just kept getting worse. Do I like being this way and getting a low check every month?? Hell no! I haven't been able to run in 30 years, go hiking or skiing, nothing and you will never know hom much I envy those that can. It's hard watching the rest of the world having fun while you sit and take pain pills just so you can watch. Many have told me to just suck it up as it can't be all that bad, spoken like a true able bodied person. I am right now waiting to see the back surgeon as things have gone really bad and it's all I can do to walk from one room to another and I spent my summer not in the shop or the field but on my front porch, day in and day out, try it sometime and tell me how long it took you to crazy from the boredom and pain!
