RE: The new Tornado sport jet
ORIGINAL: Modellbau USA  I'm not sure what the big complication is on the color scheme it is the red navy trainer scheme that I had before. It's on my website and several pictures are on here. We are also making the yellow scheme that I posted on the last page. We can also do any custom scheme you would like. When this option is chosen we will glass the wings and paint the whole aircraft. We have 3 builders that will do this for $1000
Henry i think Pepper was looking for clarification on whether it is the white with red navy trainer or grey with red navy trainer scheme that are both pictured on your site? Perhaps when you say red navy trainer you mean both the white and grey versions?

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
ORIGINAL: Boomerang1 Henry seems to have some input into (does he speak chinese?!) into modifications to the Tornado. Perhaps it's time to modify it to fix one of it's biggest drawbacks, transport. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10919625/tm.htm This guy wants a removable nose. IMO the best modification would be removable outer wing panels so it could be transported resting on the gear with the booms & tail attached & ready to fly by just sliding in the wing panels & plugging in the aileron servos. - John.
I agree!! This is the only drawback of the Tornado.

I love following your build threads and seeing how you do what you do! Keep it up guys!!!! I hope one day when time permits I will have my own build thread here on RCU that others can learn from!!! RE: Mobil DTE oil and Jetcat warranty?
ORIGINAL: mr_matt
ORIGINAL: Boomerang1 The answer, basically, is as long as people keep buying Jetcats they could not care less about testing alternative oils regardless of the health & legal implications of using jet oil in a way that the oil manufacturers did not intend.
answer from who? Jetcat sells a non organophosphate oil. Has been for awhile. Bob Wilcox sells it for 10 bucks a quart.
Do you have a link to where I can purchase this oil online? I was looking on the Jetcat usa site but could not find it.

RE: Help! Trying to reach Tam!
I've been trying to reach him as well via his web site email and pm on here and have had no luck. I have some questions about products and availability for him but can't seem to get thru. If anyone has a better way I can contact him that would be greatly appreciated. Just out of curiosity has anyone placed a order recently with him thru his site? If so did it ship promptly? I just don't want to spend a bunch of money to find out he isn't around or the products are not instock. Cheers, Jason

RE: kingtech turbines
I'm sure this has been asked before but I gotta ask!!! Why does Kingtech not have their own forum in the Turbine clinic? They are here to stay!!! Give em a spot in the clinic so people don't have to search all over the forums to find the info they need!!! It is a proven brand and deserves to be in there!! Just my 2 cents!!

RE: Mobil DTE oil and Jetcat warranty?
Is there a Jetcat rep who monitors this forum? I really would like to know how Jetcat stands on the mentioned oil for use in their turbines and if it will void warranty? Also some clarification on the alternative brand they mention in the manual?

RE: UAT question
Well the jet I am thinking of doing this on is small. Habu 32 with a p20. I see everyone having to put larger than needed batteries up front to get the cg right. So my thought is why not put the UAT up there... and reduce the weight of the jet with normal size packs. The uat is always full so it makes sense to me. On a jet like the habu if you can save some weight it is huge.

UAT question
Is there a min/max distance that a UAT should be from your fuel tanks? Is there any possible running issues from having a UAT plummed further away from the main tanks? Thanks, Jason

RE: Mobil DTE oil and Jetcat warranty?
I just found this in the P-100rx manual >>> WARNING! Assure that the fuel is mixed with approximately 5% synthetic oil. Use only synthetic turbine oils available at local airport fuel suppliers. Synthetic turbine oils are dangerous and should only be handled as per the manufactures MDS sheets. JetCat has available a compatible oil that is less harmful that also contains an antistatic ingredient. Contact JetCat for more information. Looks like they allow some type of substitute? Maybe the Jetcat rep can confirm what oil this is?
