RE: Jet-Tronics single valve
dave I need your help one more time, regarding jet tronics single valve V2 As I am new in jets I have a lot of questions: 1. Must I connect air line that comes from my BVM air fill valve AND the air line that goes to tank (using a T connector) to the input air (number 1) of jet tronics valve ? 2. Output number 2 from jet tronics valve goes to wheelbrakes? 3. And output number 3? Must I use a air line and close it to avoid air lakes? Thanks once again. Henrique Lang

RE: Jet-Tronics single valve
Dave Thanks your help. Now I can understand a little more. How can I program this single valve in proportional brake. I have a JR 12x radio. I am thinking to program elevator stick to actuates proportional brake when I move it from 80% to 100% (full elevator). Thanks again. Chris. Can't find manual of the new single valve in jet-tronics web site. When you open the pdf file regarding single valve, all you will find instructions for the old model, not the new one. They are a little different. Can't find instructions how to program, neither on jet tronics web site!! Anyway thanks. Henrique

Jet-Tronics single valve
Hello Guys. I am trying to replace mechanic brake valve in my jet with the new jet-tronics single valve (not the old one, but the new that comes with 3 connections). I can't find the manual for this new valve. Only the old one. They are a little different, altough work the same way. Air comes into conection number 1. Exits probable trhough number 3 (I think so). And the number 2 ?? I am new in jet models, and can't find someone here to help me. Best Regards. Henrique Lang

how to program 12x to operate a brake system
Hello I am trying to program my 12X to operate a pneumatic brake system in my jet using the right side lever button. Some friends told me to use the elevator stick to operate the brake system. As soon as my jet touch the ground, elevator stick activates the brake system by pushing up the stick. Problem is, I don't know to program my 12X. Is it necessary to have a proportional pneumatic brake system like the BVM one? Thanks any help. Henrique

RE: 12x vs. 11x
Allan. I have a JR12X. For the last 3 years I am using it with EDF, Helis and gliders. It works fine. Never had any problems. BUT, for a long time I am trying to find any information concerning new firware updates available to my 12X. If you take a deep search in Horizon web site, there isn´t any information about this subject. I know there are some minor bugs that were correct with new firmwares, BUT Horizon don´t inform you about then. In my country, JR Distributor don´t have any information about this. How can I know wich firmware version I have in my 12X and how to find information about new updates! It´s amazing how you find this information in Aurora 9, Spektrum DX8, but 12X no way!! Thanks any information. Henrique Lang Brazil

RE: Royal Evo 12 ... please clarify
Highflight-RCU I live in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro. I am using a Royal EVO 12 for a long time. Excelente radio. Sometime ago I was very disappointed with MPX. In my country we don´t have many EVOs We don´t have MPX or Hitec support. But as I like very much my radio, I did took the hard way: I imported the M-Link 2.4gHz (from Multiplex) and upgraded my EVO to firmware 3.3 Now I am very happy. My EVO now has 16ch, dedicated 2.4gHz and a new look. I am not interested to try any other 2.4 gHz module brand. It´s a MULTIPLEX radio, so it deserves a Multiplex module. It´s expensive, yes. But if you like your EVO, it deserves it. It´s simple the best module for it. You can also import it. I have telemetry on screen, a ultra fast 11ms mode between tx and rx and a 12bit resolution. I can connect my Evo to a notebook using a USB cable and use the new datamanager (it´s better than my 12X datamanager) This was my choice and I am happy. Binding process IS EASY AND FASTER than my JR 12X. No binding plugs. Not necessary to plug anything in rx. Ultra fast binding setup. I agree with you that Royal EVO programming is not so easy. It´s different from JR, Futaba. EVO manual is not the best manual. BUT, as I also use a 12X, it´s manual is not too, the best one. For this reason, thanks the Internet. You can find here what you need in your radio. Best Regards. P.S. I am not against JR. Like my EVO I use JR a long time. But they are very and very different radios. Henrique

RE: MPX Twister and Jet Screammer 1400
Hi I am now flying my twister with a Zippy 2650mAh 30-40C 4S LiPo pack. I know it´s not enough to have a long flight time. Usually I have only 4 minutes to fly and it depends how much I use my trottle stick. I am thinking to use in the future the A123 packs. Some friends told me to use a 5000mAh pack, but it adds a lot of weight in the front fuse. Twister is a nice jet, yet stable. I am very happy. Henrique

RE: JR 12X 2.4GHZ
This problem could be related to the throttle stick position when you turn on your 12X. 12X is programmed to alert you by a constant buzzing sound every time you turn it on IF your stick is above iddle position. It ´s a nice and SAFE alert to avoid you damage yourself and your plane if using an electric or glow engine. BUT in 12X software menu, you can disable any alert if you like. Also, in Heli mode, 12X will alert you if you turn it on to HOLD position. - Henrique

RE: JR 12X Software
Some time ago I read in this forum that there is a new firmware update to 12X that corrects to issues. Unfortunately I can´t find any information in Horizon Hobby web site. Once again, there is no support concerning this information. In my country, people from JR local, has no information about this update! We don´t have anymore support from JR in this forum. In the beggining of this year I contact Horizon by email asking some help about programming a HH gyro with my 12X. Until today, no response. I am a JR user a long time and I am very disappointed with their support. We have an expensive radio (12X) with no support to firmware and software upgrades. No support for our questions. There is nothing in the Horizon Team web site concerning this firmware upgrade - Henrique

RE: New Hitec Aurora 9-Channel 2.4Ghz Radio System
Mike. Is there a chance that Hitec release a new Aurora 12 ch. radio? Aurora 9 is wonderfull BUT: 1. Could be a full 2.4GHz dedicated radio 2. 12 ch full proportional 3. Be compatible with MicroSD or similar storage cards to expand memory and change and share model profiles, altough we can connect it to PC 4. A color LCD screen (yes, it makes a big difference to our eyes) 5. If possible, a Bluetooth or IR port to connect it to a PC. Aurora 9ch radio uses a cable attached to 2.4module to the transmitter. I am concerned about damage to this cable while using this radio. As a pro class radio, a 12ch system could be only 2.4Ghz dedicated. Congratulation to Hitec people. Aurora is a new concept, a new step forward in RC transmitters. Best Regards Henrique

RE: Electric sailplane vs Jr12X setup?
This is the setup that Mr. Allan, a friend of us in this forum sent for me, concerning the same problem: ... If you don't insist that the motor be on channel 7, try this. In the DeviceSEL menu in theSystem menu list set all the channels to INH except MOTO and FLAP. Set the MOTO to ACT and controlled by the SPOI ST. Set FLAP to ACT controlled by the FLAP LV. In the Wing Type menu set the FLAP in the DUAL MATE to AUX2 In the Function menu list, in menu 16 (MOTO. Hold) leave the HOLD Pos at 0%. I used the MOTO (gear switch) to turn the hold on; so, highlight the MOTO button. You can use another but remember it as you will use it in the next menu. In menu 71, Brake SYS, under SW SEL, set the MOTO button to on. You can ignore the SPOI setting as you don't have any actual spoilers. Leave the FPRN 0, and FLAP 0 values at 0%. Set FPRN 1, and FLAP 1 values to your liking. I initiated this programming with the GLID configuration in its default settings. You will have to modify the other menus. When the MOTO/Gear switch is pulled toward you, the spoiler stick controls the butterfly and the motor is on hold. When the switch is away, the spoiler stick controls the motor. The spoilerons and Flaps are at their neutral settings. There is a way to do all this without using the MOTO/Gear switch. It involve setting up a switch position on the Spoiler stick. That way when the stick is at the neutral or greater position, it controls the motor. When it is less, it controls the flaps and flaperons (or spoilerons). I've done this on the 9303 but not the 12X yet. Hope it helps you. Henrique

MPX Twister and Jet Screammer 1400
Hi Guys. I just tested fly my Multiplex TWISTER EDF jet with this setup: HET 70mm Fan Jet Screammer 1400 brushless motor Turnigy 80A ESC Thunder Power 2600mAh 4S LiPo After 5 minutes flying my jet, motor becomes weak and stopped. I did lend my jet and checked whats happened. To my surprise my 4S TP pack becomes EXTREMELY HOT AND PUFFED!! This is my second TWISTER. The first one I was using the same 4S TP Lipo pack with a HET 2W-25 motor, 60A ESC and same HET Fan. After flying several times, I had no problem with LiPo pack. So I am confused why my pack damaged? Must I use a 30C pack? I have a ZIPPY 4S 2650mAh 30C pack. Is it safe to use this pack? I am not sure if I must change the timing of my ESC. Any help, please! Henrique

RE: JR 12x and sailplane program
Allan Thanks very much your comments about programming my saiplane. I am afraid that using your setup I will loose some pre programmed mixers for crow and butterfly that were already configured for the example that comes with 12x manual guide. The example is not intended for an electric sailplane. It uses a 6ch receiver. When we use an electric motor, in a 7ch receiver, but trying to respect the same setup in the 12X motor control by spoiler stick will not function. I would like to see more examples for programming sailplanes and helis from Horizon Hobby showing the hole capabilities of this radio. Also, is it possible to share a sailplane setup file from 12X to another 12X, put it in Internet and install it in my radio? Like Futaba and Multiplex radios? Anyway I appreciate very much your help. I will do exactly what you suggested. Thanks again Henrique

JR 12x and sailplane program
Hi Guys. I need some help again. I am trying to setup a Multiplex CULARIS sailplane using my 12X JR. I am trying to use the same setup that comes with 12X guide. dual flaps, dual aileron, one elevator and rudder plus ESC/Brusless motor. Spektrum 7ch DSM receiver. ESC/Brushless motor will be pluged in ch7 My question is: How to program the spoiler stick (left stick) to control both ESC/Trottle and spoiler function. I know JR 12X can do this. I must use a mix to turn on/off this function (Maybe motor hold in 12X function list) But this option is ONLY available if ch1 (trottle) is ACTIVE. If I use the setup in the 12X guide, ch1 is turned off and aileron is pluged in ch1. So motor hold function is anymore available and I can´t figure out how to program left stick to control spoiler and ESC. I am knew in saiplane program. 12X capabilities is fantastic, but a little difficult to understand. So I appreciate any help. Thanks Henrique

programming a sailplane with JR12X
Hello Guys. I am trying to setup a electric sailplane with ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevator and a brussless motor (Cularis from MPX). There is a setup guide to program a full sailplane in the JR 12X manual, considering a 6Ch receiver. JR re-assign all channels to ptovide setup for dual flaps, dual ailerons, etc. Unfortunately I did not find any explanation where to plug the ESC. Considering that trottle stick is reconfigured to act as butterfly or crown mix activation, I cannot use it anymore to control ESC (motor) acceleration. I´ll use a spektrum 7ch rx. So, any help please? Henrique

What kind of CCPM program must I choose? I used a CCPM 3 servos - 120 degre 2. When I move contols (cyclic) everything is crazy! It seems that swash plate configuration is wrong. Gyro is not head lock. It comes with esky pro gyro. It´s connected to tail servo and gyro to CH4 Is it necessary to use REVO MIX? Is it necessary to program throttle curve? Sorry, but original tx that comes with belt, altough a budget radio, it is really easy to use. DX7 has a lot of different setups that I don´t reaaly know how to program. Thanks any help. Henrique
