RE: what one will be faster
it wont matter how much HP you have if the boat is set wrong its not just the motor that makes a boat fast

RE: RCMK twin = 52cc's of rubbish
have you and pics of this new engine cheers [quote]ORIGINAL: TheFridge189 I don't know if you know, but Bonzi sports has now made and inline zenoah with 1 billet engine case, no coupler. Its a really nice engine. Not saying what you said is wrong, however this new true 2 cylinder engine looks much more promising then the older inline zenoahs did. No dealing with couplers and so on and so forth. Me personally I have had bad luck with Rcmk engines as well. I ordered two inline k-600's for my apache, and the motors are a bit less then what I would have expected. The starter is quite bad, so I got two easy starts for the motors which helped, however now that I was able to have a fun day offshore with the twin k-600's, one of them has some technical internal problem, and the other I believe has some internal problem, I know the reason they aren't starting is not because of my own fault. Time to spend $156 shipping them overseas to Rcmk. For sport boating, at this juncture I would never even think to buy an Rcmk again, at least with the experience that I have had with them.

RE: S520 Question
man i wish it was that cheap here we pay $40.00 each member per year for AMPBA insurance then another $40.00 per year for your club membership then we pay $10.00 every race meet and we have meetings twice a month most months of the year at the end of the day if our insurance is saying no then we as club members will stand by that so we can keep running boats

RE: S520 Question
i know that its to do with safety we dont run offshore events over here so we run on an oval course and our insurance and public liability wont allow it plus we dont look at pocket bike motors as a Rc boat engine they were not made for that job and i know zenoah motors weren't to start with but the build a line of hobby engines as time went on and so our insurance looks at zenaohs and Quickdraw's and RCMK type of motors a hobby built engines plus if we let some one with a blata engine run a boat and it gets away from them and hit someone say good bye to having a boat club to run at the insurance brokers here in australia are picky and dont like to make it easy for people so why invite the trouble

RE: S520 Question
we do run offshore on the oval course if enough boats turn up on the day the reason your mate cant run the turbine boat at and AMPBA clubs is because our insurance will not cover turbine motors same as pocket bike motors 90% of offshore guys iv spoken to want to ban pocket bike based motors and i must say im on there side as well
