RE: RClander T33 for 90 or 120mm edf
Flew flight number five today. On landing the right plastic wheel hub came apart on a soft landing. The wheel came off the plastic hub since it broke apart. Wondering if there is a better hub available that will work withy this set up. I have tried severl manufactures but the inner gear door will not close correctly. The other issue is the right retract will not extend all the time. I have to tap the retract with a screw driver several times than it will work. I can not tap the retract while in flight. Any suggestions what needs to be done. Possibly a bad circut board. Max told me I have the new generation retract. Not sure they have been fix correctly at this point. Other than that, a great flying plane.

If the two bolts and blocks were still attached to the fuselage, I do not see how the wing can come off. You really need to send pictures of this incident. I am sorry for your loss of your aircraft but I feel confident my plane will survive. Thanks for the heads up if there is a problem. Will talk to Top-Flite and see if there really is a defect in this design.

Obviously it is a isolated problem. There are many flying with no problems. Top-flite delayed the delivery of this plane because of quality control problems and I am sure if this was a problem it would have been taken care of.

There is absolutely no problem with the wing mounting. You just need to remember to use the supplied screws to secure the wing. I hate rumors. Everything is fine, my opinion.

Flew the maiden flight this morning with no issues. Three clicks of left aileron trim and five clicks nose down trim. No mix needed with flaps. Another great flying airplane from Top-Flite.

I installed the flap servos the way the manuel said to and used a y harness with no problems, so I do not know why you need to reverse the servo installation.

Finished up the final details this morning. Took 6 ounces of lead on the nose to balance. Weigh's 23 lbs 10 oz ready to fly. Will try to maiden this Saturday morning weather permitting.

Top-flite Corsair ARF DLE 55 muffler
I received this muffler and one of the exhaust stacks has some sort of device welded in one of the stacks. Is this normal and if so, what is the purpose of this device? My other Jtech mufflers do not have this device installed.

I received the recommended Jtech muffler for the Corsair. I noticed in one of the exhaust stacks they have welded some sort of restrictor in the stack. Anybody else notice this and is this sort of restrictor suppose to be there. My other Jtech mufflers do not have them installed in the exhaust stack? This is on a DLE 55.

I ordered the muffler directly from Jtech. They know the correct one when you tell them which plane and engine you have.The muffler is $129.95.

Just finishing up the Top-Flite Corsair. I have the special muffler on order and should be here this weekend. Plane went together really well as most Top-Flite products do. Will post the final weight when ther muffler is installed. With the older and heavier muffler installed, 10 ounces of nose made the plane heavy. The old and bigger Jtech muffler weighed 9 ounces.

There are (4) 4-40 bolts that hold each wing panel on. I do not see how the wing can come off if all four bolts are secured correctly. Why don"t you ask your friend what happened? Did the aft carbon tube come loose or did the aluminum spar fail somehow? I feel at this point and time it has to be a human error on his part, like forgetting to secure the wing with the bolts or not tightening them correctly.
