Well the Georgia boys (John & John) made it back safe and sound to Hotlanta. We had a great time and will be back next year. But we will not be staying at the Red Carpet Inn, we've learned our lesson. John

RE: NEW BUSA 1/3rd Scale Fokker Triplane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JeffEE, I agree about the sound of the stock G62. But, if you put a mick reeves belt drive on it; the sound is awesome. Also you get to swing a 30x12 prop at a slower rpm. John

RE: Fokker DR1 scale details
It is an inspection panel. The FI number (Individual wing set identification number) was marked on the wing spars and visible thru the clear panel. The acceptance date was also placed in this area also. Info comes from Fokker DRI book by Greg VanWyngarden (inside fromt cover). Hope this helps. John

RE: Which engine for 1/3 pup
Another option to consider is a belt drive on a G62. Check out the Mick Reeves site. You will be able to swing a 30x12 prop at about 4200rpm. Tons of torque and power. John

Art, We have the Mick Reeves and copy on a BUSA DVII and GTM DR1. Both use 30x12 SEP wood props. We tune to 4200-4300 prop rpm on the ground. Haven't had any problems yet. John
