RE: Indiana Warbird Campaign
Had a great day flying. Only a slight sprinkle around noon but the show went on with style & grace. Will enjoy the Hog Roast tonight. One of the best 4 days of continuous flying I've had in quite a while. It sure could have been worse if you believed all the weather folks who get paid the big bucks to get things right half the time :-)

Here's some pics from the Friday night activities tonight. The weather was perfect and a pretty good crowd showed up. The outdoor movie set-up was awesome!

It was so bad today that Dennis and Landis had to get away from it all! Here's a few pics of them driving back and forth on the hill north of the flying site. They finally came back in due time with smiles on their faces. I was told it was merely for rehab reasons that they decided to go foraging in the wild!

RE: Indiana Warbird Campaign
Okay! Let's have some fun and post some pics at the same time! The last two days at Muncie have been great and the flying greater. Here's a few pics of the "International Olympic Scale Judging Team" critiqueing Carl Bachhuber after a flight with his Convair 550. You'll notice in the one pic that Carl is considering filing a protest with the Chief Judge regarding the low score from the Russian judge? I have to say that the judges NEVER placed a bigger burden on any pilot than what they could bear! Carl just needs to suck it up and deal with it :-)

RE: Northern Alliance Military Fly In - 2012 (Owatonna MN)
Dang! Us Okies are impatient, huh? I also had a great time and wanted to post a few pics. I'm at the point after all these years of going to Owatonna that the planes are secondary anymore. The good people and fun are what's important and the fly-over of the "T-6's" Saturday night was awesome. Here's a few pics of "things" from NAMFI 2012. Another benefit of going north to Minnesota in August when you live in Oklahoma is that you get a reprieve from the heat and we always bring the cooler weather back home with us. The weather has been great in Eastern Oklahoma since we got back :-)

When did they quit putting the corrugation details on the control surfaces? That sucks! Mine looks great and has stayed that way for three years now.

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft
Bryan, Congratulations on the maiden flight, your TC looks beautiful. I just ordered my second TC and this time I plan to use the new Zenoah ZP26 instead of the G20ei. The G20 did not have enough power. Now I am beginning to wonder if I should consider the DLE 30. I am not looking for a 3D plane but, I do like huge loops and and lots of sky to cover a large flight envelope. Howard
