Byron or Power Master 20/20 in my twin, 3 cylinder and YS engines! Castor oil in 2 strokes full synthetic (not blends) in 4's I never run my engine dry, I have had one dead stick and the retrieval boat is helping others [:D]

RE: How to remove hub MVVS or Evolution 58 engine
Double nut the prop shaft, turn the bottom nut to remove the shaft but, don't remove the shaft the entire way. Remove the double nuts, wind one nut down the shaft, now place the two blue prop washers on top of the nut. Use three of the prop bolts at 120 degrees and slowly tighten each bolt. As you reach the bottom of the prop shaft you will have to losen the shaft then apply more pressure on the bolts. You'll reach a point when the hub will just pull off!

RE: Airtronics users
Love the SD-10, just installed mine in my jet. I prefer the FHS1 8 channel as I didn't want to buy two new digital servos for the brakes or retracts. It's a rock solid radio!

RE: Evolution 58GX ignition setup question
Evo 58GX magnets on the hub are 180 degrees apart, the GX2 ignition system needs the magents at 120 degrees apart. The newer ignition is incompatible with the older engine. (Unless I am misunderstanding your post) You can order the GX2 hub for the GX engine or just convert it to an RCXEL ignition; the RCXel ignition will ignore the second magnet!

RE: INSIDE 8FG AND SD-10
I have both the SD10 and the Futaba T10, I love them both. If asked to sell either radio, it would be an impossible decision. I know because I have contemplated it. I love the feel of the T10 and the reliability. I love the options, all 3 position switches, channel assignments, servo delay and the list goes on with the SD10. If they put the SD10 into the T10 case, I would have the best of both worlds. I believe that would be a 14 or 18 MZ and I can't go there! I have separated my needs into a few categories. I use the T10 for my scale WW1 aircraft as I don't need flaps etc. (Read servo delay) It takes a large amount of concentration to pilot the WW1 Scale, I like the feel of T10 for that. For the civilian, float planes etc with flaps, I use the SD10 for servo delay on flaps etc.... My Jet will get the T10, my P47 would get the SD10 I have fondled the 8FG. It is a smaller case, similiar to the SD6 (which my son and nephew each use) but I have not flown with one. I do like the SD6, ergonomically correct etc. I would imagine the 8FG is too. Doesn't help much but hey, you're choosing from two great radio manufacturers... :-)

RE: If you knew then what you know now........
Thanks guys Wayne, I never had the chance to see the Nano, then again I didn't even know what it was until I got bit and went home searching :-) Amazing show in Princeton. The Jetmach hmmmm, kingtech 80 turbine, opens the doors for growth... That Nano still has my eye, lots of support, lots of after market pieces. The smaller design may allow me to believe I'm flying faster than I would be [8D]

If you knew then what you know now........
Add to that the fact that most of us are good prop pilots....... what would you buy? I have enjoyed a flight with a P70 and a BTE Reaction. I have also owned and stared at a Yellow F16 ducted fan but have decided to pass it along. Obviously cost is a factor right now, new venture, limited places to fly a turbine etc. I do have assistance close, a great guy and new friend who has been flying jets for a few years now. Sorry Steve, can't help myself [:D] I love building, I have been enjoying WW1 aircraft, scale civilian, golden era etc and my 30% Yak. The Boomerang Nano has my attention. Maybe a Wren 75, or a Jet Central Super Bee II. Pro Link has a nice set of trailing link retracts in a combo pack with brakes etc, kevlar tank........... and the Nano is on sale........ Tell me, as technology changes and the options open up, knowing what you know now, would you go this route or do something different? Thanks

3rd season on my MT57. I sold it to a buddy with confidence and watched him enjoy it today. It has been a great engine. In fairness I did reassemble the engine with a few "tricks". I agree with Jody, if Tomy concentrated on QC, the MT line up could do well.

RE: Dual Servo Flap throw
Didn't make a difference. Whether I assign Flap 1 to a toggle or just turn it on and assign it to the VR5, the EPA just shifts the 40 degree throws on LF and RF in surface as if they were sub trims.

RE: Dual Servo Flap throw
Hi Todd, Type includes two flap servos. I have set the switch assignment for flap 1 to ON flap 2 is - VR assignment Flap 1 is assigned to VR5. Limits are set to 150 respectively. EPA allows for max 40 degree throws. Are you telling me that I have to assign Flap1 to toggle and assign VR5 to flap 1 to obtain more throw? I guess it would help from accidently turning flaps on etc... I'll try it!

Dual Servo Flap throw
I must be missing something, setting up an aircraft with 2 flap servos (set in TYPE as such) and assigned to a VR switch (5), I cannot increase the amount of throw for my needs. The pre-programming must be limited to about a 40 degree max throw or I am missing something? C-Mix is an option of course but I am curious! Thanks Steve

The "mystery part" proved useful. I used it on the hub with a nut and bolt and a large washer. I torqued the nut pulling the crank but I only gained about .010 I'm still looking at a large gap! Brass shim coming up!
