RE: Ziroli 124
is this cowl to be made of aluminum as it appears in the pictures? If so it will be interesting to see the final product. You might need to buy some dura flux rod for aluminum soldering to do the air intakes.

RE: Royal Spitfire fuselage tracing needed
hmmm I wonder why he dropped the royal line? I was going to purchase a canopy for the .60 sized corsair as I am going to have a kit cutter produce the kit. Oh well guess I'll have to find Luke.

RE: Some info on a yard sale spitfire?
I know who made your spitfire. By simply looking at the wire gear, the williams bro's tires, the wood mounting rails, and the block with w16 stamped on it that is in your wing you have a .60 sized Royal/marutaka spitfire. also inside the fuselage the lack of a servo tray and the way the wood formers are constructed are also obvious signs of this being a royal kit.

Have to hinge the ailerons, and rudder, secure the battery and receiver, and balance. Power is an o.s. .61 FX and guided by a Futaba radio.

Counter balance shouldn't be anything to worry about. Make sure you don't have any free play in the rods though.

RE: Royal/Marutaka plans
You guys won't believe the realization i have just come to! Guillows kits are nothing more than scaled down versions of the Royal/Marutaka kits!!!!!!!!!!! I can prove this by having you guys look at the pictures of the plans in the listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/GUILLOWS-B-17G-WWII-BOMBER-MODEL-BALSA-KIT-45-WS_W0QQitemZ220418825189QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3351fc5be5&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A2072%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 If you look at the royal plans, the outline of the fuse and wing on the royal plans is the exact same shade of gray. Also on the Guillows kits, the engines in their b-17 appear to mount much in the same style that they do in the royal b-17!!!!! Also if you compare the placement of the scale detailing features shown on the plans, when you scale them up to the position they would be on the royal plans they match!!!!!!!!
