Kelly, Mine will sometimes stick and just needs a flick to spin over. As mine is in a Viper I have a carbon rod i put up the tailpipe to flick. Not sure if it is sticky bearings or the o ring/clutch but has done it from new. Ian.

kiwibob, Hurry up and get finished as you will love it. Mine is done out electric on 8s lipo and flies like a warbird should. No mixing when flaps deployed and yes you can bring it in long and slow with a little power on full flap. CG is middle of the range suggested but aileron is 60 0/0 of recomended. No idea of weight as I never weigh any of my models. Ian.

Steve, I had to replace a tyre having had a brake lock and it would not hold air. Take the rim apart and reseat the tyre and o ring and you should be fine, Prob not a good seat. Ian.

Just back from a super cj. Over 160 people came, 29 degrees and light wind! 7/8 planes in queue to fly all day and 4/5 in air all the time. Never seen it so packed. Successful first flight on carf hawk as well. Dick - can you organise same weather for Dec? Ian

RE: Viper Jet 2M Pointers/ tips.
My tailpipe was the same using P80se but just left it long as it dosn't show with the silver tail cone. Had to trim it in the end as was 1" to long for the car when taking 2 jets! It is a real pain to cut but can be done with a dremal cut off wheel BUT the spacer between the inner and outer pipe will have to be taken off and reinstalled. Ian.

RE: Futaba 12z / 14MZ gear sequencing built in :)
All, I do not even use a mix, just servo slow. Gear down then doors at normal speed and gear on slow. going up then gear at normal and doors at slow. Set at 20 on the screen with gear/doors on seperate channels of the same 2 pos switch. Works fine on viper jet and carf hawk. Ian.

RE: Comp ARF BAe Hawk Build Thread
Ian, I drilled a small hole vertical into the carbon tube and put a 2mm c/s bolt in. Totally hidden by tailplane but easy to remove! My fin is tight when front bolt is in so not adding anything else. How do you fit the scale cockpit when the steering servo comes up into the space needed?? Pics would help. Ian.

RE: Reaction ARF - PST/BTE All-Composite Sport Jet
David, I didn't bother on mine and having flown it all year I don't think it would make a big difference. The flaps slow it right down to a hover in wind with the shortest run being 25feet from touch down to stop!! Save yourself the trouble. Ian.
