RE: Extending thermocouple wire ?
Not sure what engine you are refering to but typicaly K type thermocouples are used with turbines. K types use a cable called (compensating cable) which basically means the conductors are made of the same elements as the thermocouple itself. Because of this I would recomend using the same cable.

RE: Engine for Funtana X50
I was thinking of putting an irvine 53 in my 50 x. Can anyone tell me if this will be enough for hovering and general 3D?. It's that or splash out on a YS63. By the way what's it like with a yS 63? Anyone got this combo?

I am very undecided between the aeroworks and the QQ 69" Yak I have a YS 110 waiting to go in either one. Any suggestions to which it would be more suited.

RE: 10X Crow set up and Weatronics Rx
What I did was match the right aileron with aux2 channel 7(left aileron). Then I mixed flap and FPRN, and adjusted the points to get 20mm up aileron on full flap. This is for a JR 9x 2 I assume the 10 X will be similar..Hope this helps.

I had the same problem. What I did was put the ailerons on two seperate channels in the Weatronics. It worked then.

RE: Kingcat total weight??
[sm=shades_smile.gif]Raf, Did'nt take the wrong way[:)] Verticals, that was one of my other reasons for a bigger engine[:D] Although the P120 was plenty fast enough for me flat out, I could of done with a bit more power when going slow into a vertical. Hopefully the pegasus will give me that bit extra. Once you get used to your Kingcat again, you might feel like splashing out on the P200 or even a P 180, both IMO would be fantastic engines for vertical take offs [sm=shades_smile.gif]

RE: Kingcat total weight??
The P-120 is a superb engine for the Kingcat. It's just that I wanted to paint the model, more detail and put a bigger smoke tank in it, which of course is adding alot more weight to it. So I thought a few more pounds in thrust would'nt hurt.[:D]

RE: Kingcat total weight??
Sandor, to be honest, I have never felt that I needed the extra aileron movements on landing with crow brakes in. I guess I will stick to being uncool for the time being[sm=shades_smile.gif] And I am very suprised you say it's very slow with the Pegasus, having seen AMT Bennie fly his. Perhaps the upgrade will change your mind[:D]

RE: Kingcat total weight??
[/quote] also can i use more flaps ? or stick with the original settings , i wanted to slow it down some more. Hi Sandor, I am no expert, but do you have crow brakes in on landing?, I have forgotton a couple of times on a landing approach, and it comes in much faster without them. BTW I am just in the process of installing an AMT Pegasus on it, so would be very interseted as to how you find it. I used to have a Jetcat 120 on it.

RE: Comp ARF Flash update
Mine came out at nearly 24lb's with a Jetcat 120, Behotec retracts, x2 Sanyo 2400 Nicads and a 3700 NIMH for ECU. I used these batteries instead of lipo's, as I knew I would have to add nose weight too compensate the engine. As a result of this, I did not add any nose weight. I would'nt worry, with that engine, a couple of pounds wont make much difference. It sounds a perfect set up too me.

RE: Comp ARF Flash update
NICLAS, again, I have not used a heat blanket. But like yourself, I was a bit concerned about the stories I have heard on RCU,regarding the heat issues. I can only say for peice of mind, I did a few full power checks before flying. And if it's going to get hot, it will do it on the ground. Currently I have had about 15 flights, with a P120, and no problems yet. One thing I forgot to mention. Before I put my engine in, I noticed it was flameing on start up. This was cured by reducing start up pump voltage. Always worth checking I guess.

With a friend from my club, we have managed to correct the problem. There was a slight twist in the back end of the fus. With a hot air gun and gradually twisting the fus it came back in. I guess this happend when the covering was put on.
