Not sure where Vince went..... lost all interest with radio controlled cars lately... couldn't get those high powered brushless things to last long without getting hot. Trusty Bycmos still work fine, not used them for a while but will do I promise.

RE: Subaru Impreza WRC 1/10 Bycmo
Not sure Dus, looks like everything is in the right place. I'll have a good look at one of our cars tomorrow. As for motor you can go for those Ansmann racing ones, they seem ok, or Tamiya motors. I know someone who raves about those Yeah Racing motors.

RE: Subaru Impreza WRC 1/10 Bycmo
Speedy, I fitted the exact same speed controller and it works realy well. You can get a lower turn motor and it will still run ok, we fitted 18t motor to our cars. Dus is spot on, you can use blu tak to see what it's like with the locked diff, you will get much better traction with the locked diff. Also fast charger, I got an old riko/tamiya fast charger for £10. Will take an hour to charge a 2500mah battery, it has a timer for an hour so you can't leave it on if you forget you are charging. I know that the Bycmo with more than standard power has problem with traction to the rear wheels. That motor doesn't sit right at all..... have you used the correct holes in the chassis? I wouldn't run that till it's fixed. When locking a diff permanent I used chemical metal :) Something like this will do the job: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Riko-AC-DC-12-240V-APM2-Fast-Slow-Charger-Tamiya-/320875817776?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item4ab5b06b30#ht_1438wt_934 What power batteries are you using and are they NIi-cad or Ni-mh?

Thought I'd pop in to say hi, not even looked at a radio controlled car for a month. Been very busy here too. Pics of some of your conversions Vince would be good. You can get decent chargers quite cheap and less chance of over charging your packs. Hows it going dus? Hope all is well, my lad is off school for a week next week so lets see if we can get the Bycmos out :)

Dus, did mention about the hubs in the other post, get the cheap plastic ones, the metal ones needed filing a bit to fit onto the wheels......well on the set we got anyway. Good pics there Vince, speed controller is very compact.

RE: Subaru Impreza WRC 1/10 Bycmo
Yo Vince and Dus, Read you wondering about the diffs, well we just fill our diffs with chemical metal, then screw them back together. You will get much more grip by locking the diff anyway, like a real car with an LSD. Both wheels grip together. Have you got any pics of the Bycmo Vince now you fitted the new speed controller? you don't have to get the expensive alloy hubs, the plastic ones are just as good. Have got one set of alloy and one set of plastic, plastic ones were a couple of quid, had a look but can't see the same ones that we got at the moment. What motor are you using? are you using the original silver can 540? There are lots of motors for good price when you feel you need a bit more speed out of it.
