I dont know man but nothing beats a failure but a try. What will mess up is the pinion gears inside the gear boxes that is what usually shreds....they are about 6 and 4 bucks for two I think its been a while. Thought about this thread as I am about to clean out and sell some of my stuff. (not the cars of course :-)
ORIGINAL: k20_94_dc Cool man thanx a lot what gearing did u run? And did u ever race any 4tec 3.3?
honestly I dont remember what it was but I do remember I had to keep the gap (amount of teeth) equal between first and second, But I learned I was able to "cheat" a little and went with the largest pinion possible against the smallest spur but first gears pinion I went one tooth down and was still able to keep the Mesh and not strip out the gears. Ate them up with my T.Z but my tc3 is pretty modded

You want the one with the pilot shaft and slide carb, if you go with the short shaft/rotary carb you will need the shaft extender.

Maybe you could email them and ask about this. http://www.ka-planes.com/inc/sdetail/1327
Hey Jerry I did email them and they havent replied to my second email it has been around three days so I dont know either. If you break the costs down, it doesn't seem so bad[;)]
Ok yes that is not that bad at all I wonder how much my club will charge as they said I would get the discounted rate because im a student at the local university. RE: JUST GOT FIrst plane
HAH lol thanks alot guys...yes I know that I am going to need an instructor that is for sure. Havent got one lined up yet, I will probably run that tank of fuel through it first and once i get ready to even think of taking flight I will go to the local airfield (i have a local hobbyshop not far) which i will be going to get all my equipment it looks like I will be able to make out less than 125 for all the equipment because they have a TON of used parts. Im located in champaign IL as of now. (yes i know where tower is located[:D]). Brett yes i know lol I hear once you hit the air you never land back on the ground but I dont know i Drag race and have a bunch of friends that will keep me there. OK thanks alot fellas for the instruction manuals, I still want the person to send me the ones that came with it just because of the principle, they might have left something else out you never know. will keep you all updated and I am also going to put up photos once the bird has been put together.

RE: JUST GOT FIrst plane
THANKS ALOT FELLAS ....man this thing is beautiful. IT s HUGE....yes i am trying to have it flight ready by the weekend the problem is I got it off eBay (brand new so they said) and it is no issues with the plane or parts at all its one thing though its missing the manual. [:@] so all the fight equipment and what stuff i need i basically have to find out for myself. I was surprised to see that the radio has rechargeable batteries and came with a charger. (will upgrade transmitter once i learn how to fly a bit. One question I have is how do i break this baby in? i am familiar with nitro cars but planes is foreign to me
