RE: Skymaster 1/6.5 F-86 Gear Doors using 5 Function Multi Valve Pro
Do some doors stay open and some close with the gear down? If so, you do indeed need an additional valve for your multi valve. I think one of these would do it : http://dreamworksrc.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=735

RE: SkyMaster MB339 Build Thread
Guys, Pictures of the cracks on the wing. In one picture you will note the piece of angle I set on the wing to show the crack location. As you can see it is aft of the main spar and from what I can tell the landing gear box rotated aft, flexing the wing, and cracking it. I have inspected the gear mount box and it is solid. I did some of the mods suggested in this thread and I think I tied everything together too well and now the impact energy has nowhere to go...something had to give. It was a HARD landing...... I think I am going to just roll with it, what say you guys?

Fallen Wingman Tribute
Guys (and Gals), In our lives we all have a handful of people (if you are lucky) that we consider family. That person is better than a best friend, they are your wingman. Four years ago I lost my wingman to cancer. He and I were great friends and I miss him to this day. We met in the scale helicopter circle and we just clicked...epic friendship no doubt. He was a master builder and I would test fly all his creations... Now he is gone and all I have is the memory of him talking me through those first flights on a new machine. If you have ever seen me at the flying field you will notice this frequenct pin that hangs from my neck strap, thats Marks old pin. We still fly together to this day.... Anyway, I have wanted to do something in tribute to him that had to do with modeling. This is what I came up with. Not super flashy (Mark was net either), but IMO respectful. Just wanted to share, what do you think? Ps...we all have a wingman, if you are lucky enough to still have yours, seize the moment...they go too quickly!

RE: SkyMaster MB339 Build Thread
Hey Guys...Long time no post.... I have been making the 339 pretty...and flying some. I do have a problem at this point and want to ask your advice.... On a harder than normal landing at the last jet even I was at, I have cracked the wing skin right above the the landing gear box. Now I have beefed up this are prior to this landing and I think that I am just seeing the result of flexing in this are as I have tied everything together and the skin just did not flex with everything else. What do you think? I have looked everything over and I don't see any structural failure anywhere. I could post some pictures tonight.... Now then, many thanks to Ralle at TaliorMade for helping me out with my 339...she is not an ugly Betty anymore....

RE: *** SIN CITY JETS '09 November 5-8 ***
I have no dog in this fight.... However, what really bothers me here is our event has a cloud hanging over it because of some BS that has nothing to do with Chad or Sin City Jets. As many of you know, it takes hard work and time to put one of these events together. We have to get our club on board, spend club money for awards and whatnot, and set the field up for the event...along with about a hundred other things. We believe that supporting each others events is the right thing to do, and we have. Chad has been to Speed World, Cali-Jets, Montana, Fresno, and Ron's event this year alone. At two of those events he did not even have a jet to fly, and only got one flight at another. All the time he has had a great attitude while spending his time and money supporting these events. And if I am not mistaken has donated product to the event raffle at all of these events. He has made friends in this hobby all across the US and never cared what color shirt they wear. Now something happens that has nothing to do with him and all his genuine good will and effort is out the window because people have to behave badly(I am not taking sides, no dog remember?). Chad put his butt on the line with our club, I sure hope it swings his way. Chad is one of the most brutally honest people I have ever known and he is one of the good guys. I have been in the hobby well over 30 years, been in several circles, and Chad is one of people that I have met along the way the makes this hobby worth every second and every dollar I have spent on it. I wish everyone could set aside their differences and come together as pilots, modelers, brothers. Remember guys, events like these are the heart that pumps the life blood of our hobby, it is where lifetime friendships are made, and it is where the less-experienced can learn form the masters. Chad knows that and has supported as many as he can, will you do the same? Guys, I ask you....Come on out, Fly some Jets, tell some lies, Eat good food, Have a drink or two, see a show, and have a great time! The LZ is ready, will you be there?

Jeff, Looks like your nose gear is installed backwards.... Also, on the nose, is it cable steering or is the servo mounted to the strut ALA 339?
