RE: So many different walkera's
Recently I got myself the 22E since it's the cheapest among these 3 models and I'm only a beginner. 22E has the lowest flying ablity in these 3. 35 is the one with the lower spec comparing with the 36. e.g 35 is running the gears for the tail but 36 is running the belt. I wouldn't have any idea as prof as the other guys here. I'm only a fresher... [:D]

RE: Just got my 22e!
Hi k3nv, I had my 22E 2 weeks ago and it's my 1st heli ever. I was the other way around... as I got my heli before any doing any sim... So I had crashed mine for about 3 times now. I'm trying not to fly the actually 22E until I get some practice with the sim. But I'm having trouble for setting the TX with the FMS. Hope I can get it to work very soon. Also, I have borrowed the XTR from a friend but the SW is in Dutch. Couldn't get it to work neither... By the way, I got the 11.1V 1200mAh 10C Lipo. Just wanted to have more time to practice. It's lighter than the origainl 9 cells pack. But make sure you need to get the charger for the lipo battary as well. Cheers.

RE: Walkera Dragonfly 22E Sim Cable Help
Actually, I had tried the sequence as shown, 4-2-3-1-4-2Inv-3Inv-1Inv. But I get the full bars on the Channels Bars 1 to 4 when doing the calibrations. I follow the instruction as turn the sticks in circles for several times. Have I missed or set something wrong? With the setting I'm having, the heli can be lift, lower, slide to left and rotate left only. Just half of the functions are working. But it's good to know it had some respond last night. Still looking forward to get it work 100%!
ORIGINAL: oops Krisma, Do you hear the "BZZZZZZZZZZZ" that changes when it's in Debug mode under PPJOY ? (Click options, then DEBUG). If not, then you're not getting the interrupt. 1. Set interrupt in BIOS. 2. Set Interrupt as Assigned in Device Manager. 3. Manually set interrupt IRQ in Configuration under Device Manager.
ORIGINAL: oops Heh :) I just did this for a friend a few days ago. The pins are as marked in the photo earlier in this thread. If you want to use FMS, then use PPJOY to convert. Same circuit as above. Once you do this, the control sequence under FMS is 4,2,3,1 with 2,3 and 1 inverted. David.
Hey guys! I have got some functions of the movements work. But only tail left, left and up. What exactly the sequence I need to put here? I have tried to put as what David had mentioned. But there's 8 spaces not only 4... Please help...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly 22E Sim Cable Help
ORIGINAL: oops Hi Ippie, Yes, it does. As long as you use PPJOY, the TX becomes another HID (Human Interface Device) under XP. Although the controls are a little messed up by default, if you play with the settings under PPJOY and remap the axis, then your TX works just like a normal joystick. Well, 2 joysticks... X,Y,Z and Rudder. You can use it with any games under XP - even non-flight

RE: Walkera 22e for a Beginner?
ORIGINAL: soneebee Well since you heli is working fine maybe increasing the pitch was just enough to give your heli a good lift.. too much pitch will bog down the motor and definitely you will need to adjust the throttle. this can be done by unlocking the dip-switch found at the back of the TX. then the 2 potentiometers found in the front of the TX the PZT/PLT dials can be turned clockwise and counterclockwise to set the best throttle curve.. Normaly at mid throttle or 50% the skids are becoming lighter.... if you have a pitch gauge you can see that the pitch at 50% is around 2°- 3° and at full 100% throttle the normal setting walkera does is 9°-10° pitch now if you are at 3D mode or mode 1 mid stick is 0° 100% throttle is 9° and %0 throttle is -9° you can test this using a pitchgauge.. but this is if your set-up is all centered.. any changes done on the PZT/PLT changes also the pitching so this will vary... make sure that if you release or unlock the dipswitch you can adjust it correctly..
Ar! So I can adjust the +/- of the PZT/PLT while unlock the dip switch! But how can I set the best throttle curve by turnning the buttons? Thx for explainning, mate! Really need to learn more from you expects! I guess it's all right to keep the pitch as I had adjusted earlier since I wouldn't be doing 3D flying at this stage. In fact, I just want to have a easier lift. And guess what! I didn't crash it this weekend! Hahaha! [:D]

Hi mate, Yeap, it's the 10K ohms resister as you have mentioned. But I believe the blue one you have is 1/2W, right? I couldn't get the 1/2W nor 1/4W, so i got the 1W. Would that be the problem? I have the BC548 resistor as you have mentioned. Umm, can anyone gives me the link where I can download the G2? Please... Well, I did follow the instruction to do the set up. But it's not beeping when I got to here... It said "error 5 opening port" and "error 2 opening port when I tried COM1 and COM4... Did I do something wrong???

RE: Lipo
Thx dacaur. So does the amp means the output power? Sorry for asking as I'm not good in electronic. [8|] I had bought the 1200mAh 10C for my 22E. The seller adviced this would be better than 1800mAh as the 1200mAh is lighter, say 137g against 87g. So I trusted this guy and went for 1200mAh. Flied with it last night and it last much longer than the orginal Ni-MH 44AAA 650mAh with 115g. But I needed to place the new lipo to due with the CG as it's a bit towards to the tail. Need to figure out where is the best position to place this lipo as it's longer than the org pack. [>:]

RE: brushless motor and lipo
Well, we don't have much spaces in HK. So I can only fly the heli on the podium where I live. Which is not a very large place for me to fly as a beginner. As it would go side way and things, out of my control... I would bring it down. I know I should fly it high to allow me more time to adjust n control it. But I need to find another place to practice. Well, I crashed the first time because I flipped the "pitch" switch... The heli was still on the ground with the motor running in low speed. Then I flipped the switch to see how it words and it took off in the sky to 20 feet high or so. I crashed landing it before it flied to the street. Broke the flybar connecter and the main plastic gear. 2nd time... Landed it hard and the blade hit the tail boom. [:(]

RE: Walkera 22e for a Beginner?
Well, the shop was out of stock in HK. So I called a guy who was selling me the lipo batt and luckily he was in China. He got me the tail boom for around US$3. It's a good idea to get the alumium rod instead! 9mm is the exact dimension? But how can you fit the tail unit to it? As the original one has a grove. What is porps? Why would my 22E drops the head speed by adjusting the pitch? Umm, what are PZT/PLT ? I tried to fly it last night. It seems it's a bit easier to lift. But I lowered it as it got to 3-4 feet. Hee, I got scared to fly it too high as a beginner. Nope, I haven't changed the motor. As the motor and the speed control cost me about 50% of the cost of my 22E. So I guess I would get a new heli after this 22E if I could fly it all right. [:)]

Well, the seller suggested me to go for the 1200mAh only as it would be light. The 1800mAh is too heavy for mine, he claimed. So what are the advantages as using the lipo? By the way, I'm keeping crashing mine even I didn't lift it as high as 4 feet.... [:(]
