Big servo for use in Elevator Trim Tab Ultralight Airplane
Hello Guys, I am looking for a BIG servo that I can use for a Elevator Trim Tab on a Ultralight Airplane. One thing that I need is that when the servo move to the position I want, it keep and hold the trim tab in the position I want it (something like the way a Digital Servo work) but without having to keep giving power to the servo Any ideas or advice? THX Isaac

RE: VQ TomaHawk + West 50 with Tune Pipe
Hey guys, ira d send me his pic of his elevator and rudder mods....... So this is full credit to him. ira d thx for sharing this info. Here is ira d explication of his mod: The way my setup works is I used two 1/4x20 bolts and then drilled out three servo horns and threaded them onto the bolts that I put through sides of fuse back by the elevators, two of the horns are on the outside of the fuse and one is inside the fuse and is connected to the push rod coming from the elv servo. I found some bushings from and old copier that I glued into the fuse sides and ran the bolts through them in essence I made a bell crank. Also I threaded the bolts into a sort of coupler and glued and taped them to gather so that both elevators are run by one servo. Hope this helps. Ira
ORIGINAL: bob27s oh my....... I used one of those on a scale plane many years ago. Big mistake. Ya really don't to use one of those do you? No back pressure, nearly no muffler/tank pressure, and no quiet..... At best, it directs the exhaust out of the cowl. Bob
Hey Bob, Yes is for a scale T-34 Mentor[;)] Thx so much for the link Isaac
