On / Off Switch
just talked to Redcat Racing because my son broke his on / off switch. The only direct replacement part is the entire HobbyWing Brushless speed controller for $98...which is crazy stupid. Anyone have any experience replacing a simple on/off switch? Thanks JAM

Someone told him today that he needed to change some settings on the motor and I dont have a clue how to nor can i find anything in the owners manual. Thanks and Merry Christmas / Happy New Year! RE: Just sent to Integy
I'm right there with you, I paid $70 for the MSR4 shocks and I have to turn the adjustable spring collar down all the way just to get the shocks to spring back up, and I'm running 70w oil. I haven’t noticed any leaks yet, but I don’t think it will be long before I’m completely upset with the quality of these shocks. The skid plates fit fine, but will bend if you just bump them. Anyway, sorry for your problems, hang in there and share with us any feedback you get. JAM

My son ran the truck last night and had one small roll-over and busted a rear aluminum body post. Anyone else have problems with the Full Force Post? Does RPM make a round post? Thanks.

No shelf queen…my 10 year old son runs the he11 out of it...that is why there is no wheelie bar...too many rollovers and rear end landings...he has skateboard ramps that can be stacked to get some insane air. I don’t have a clue how to download a video, but usually take a few with our digital camera while he is running the trucks.
ORIGINAL: racemaxx24 How long have those Integy shocks lasted u? The shafts bend very easy and the seals are crap.
I have only had them on the truck for 5 or so tanks of gas (but ran and jumped hard). So far they have been great and much better than the stock shocks. Keep in mind, I am running 70w oil. I bought these from a LHS prior to any research, and now realize that many people have had issues.

Just a little pic update...here are the GA 7075 Bulks and UE Knucklehead Shock Towers...the 17MM aluminum wheel hex's and Lunsford Racing Titanium Hinge Pins will be here today, so I should be able to get it back together tonight. RE: T-Maxx 4908 Aluminum Upgrades
Thanks RACEMAXX24, I understand the too much aluminum problem. I do need to put on some sort of wheelie bar that will withstand some roll over’s and rear landing jumps. I bid on an OEM replacement on eBay last night, but lost…I was just being too cheap and thought that if I was going to spend $10 of more for a replacement, I should just get a better product. Is this a common upgrade to aluminum? Do you think the Integy wheelie bar will be ok?

RE: T-Maxx 4908 Aluminum Upgrades
The GA 7075 bulks will arrive today…talk about fast FREE delivery…wow! Well I was wondering if anyone had some quick advice on how to take the truck apart…is there a particular order I need to follow. I am going to work on it this weekend, but unfortunately I don’t have a hinge pin set yet and will need to do some fast ordering or find them local. The LHS shop has the Integy Pins, but I’m a little worried about the quality. On another note, we have had the Integy Piggy Back Shocks (MSR4) on for a few days of hard running/bashing (so hard the wheelie busted off) and they seem to be working great. I did turn down the adjustable collars a bit to stiffen them up and I’m running 70w oil. What replacement wheelie bars do you guys recommend? As always, any help would be appreciated. JAM

RE: Tips & tricks
ORIGINAL: Mspeed Locktiting your wheels nuts is pretty manditory. Most will lose a wheel after some time and they end up frying the wheel hex and or the inside of the wheel. Then they upgrade to alum hexes or 17mm. If you have the new revo it has 17mm hexes stock, but I would still strongly recommend to loctite the nuts. I first learned about this on my savage which sadly lost a wheel and it uses 17mm hexes. The revo is notorious for losing wheels and stripping the hexes if you dont locktite them. Locktite them and you should not have any issues with them coming loose even if you got the nylon 14mm ones. Its a good idea to check them after a few gallons to make sure the locktite is holding.
Is there an aluminum 17mm wheel hex that will fir the T-Maxx 3.3, that i believe is 14mm. I did get 17MM adapters with the new Axial Oversize Beadlock 8-Hole Black Chrome wheels, but they were plastic as well. thanks

It's running very cool even in the hot weather, i think I'm going to leave it alone, it seems to have setteled down a little. The truck was doing wheelies on demand and then towards the end of the last tank it wouldn't pull them up? Any clue as to why? thanks jam

I just ordered the GA 7075 T-6 Bulkhead Kit (front and back w/ braces). I don’t know if they come with the hinge pin set...but seems like a good price for that quality of product including the braces as well. It was $105 but should last longer than the truck. JAM

RE: New T-Maxx 3.3 running problems
We got through tank 5 last night after the rain and this truck is running awesome!!!! I found it very difficult to not let the truck switch into 2nd gear while accelerating to full throttle for 3 seconds during tank 4. I guess my finger is identical to my lead foot. I also noticed that the break in period is a little tuff on the brakes...they don’t work as good as new. This may be an immediate upgrade for me. I'm going to change the Glow Plug, Air Filter and tune it tonight. From what I understand, if I richen the LSN, I should also lean the HSN. I’m a little worried about tuning it too much because it’s running so good. It’s not overheating and the pinch test will cut it off in less than 3 seconds with a high rev during the shut off. I just want it to stay still (no creeping forward) at idle. Thanks to all for the good advice. JAM

RE: New T-Maxx 3.3 running problems
ORIGINAL: bigblock.21 With all due respect, Idles high compared to what? I have a 4908 and it had idled high but I took into consideration that the 3.3 being a small block would idle at a higher rpm since it has a smaller mass to rotate then say my O.S. .21RG. Reason being the .21 is a big block and has a larger mass to rotate in a bigger block. The 3.3 runs well and doesn't overheat. I did have to call Traxxas Support because of the oneway bearing freezing onto the starter shaft during break-in at 7 tanks. They sent me a new back plate, starter shaft and oneway bearing and it's ran flawlessly since.
The high idle makes it drive by itsel. Again, I will work on this after the break in is completed, I think the LSN will correct the issue. We couldn't get to it today because of rain. Thanks, JAM

RE: New T-Maxx 3.3 running problems
After returning my truck to Traxxas a second time, for the exact same issue as stated below, I finally got it back on Friday. This time, they replaced the piston / sleeve (again) and new carburetor (which I think was the actual problem). So far I'm through the first 2 tanks and all is good. We are going to finish the break in today. It does idle high, but I think that’s because it’s set at factory break in. I'll keep you posted and hopefully we will make it through tank 5. Thanks JAM

Volcano SV Pro Steering Servo
Need a little help. Just yesterday (after a medium size crash) my steering servo stopped working. I changed the truck battery thinking this may have been the issue because it began only turning in one direction, but after I changed out the battery, it wouldn’t work at all. I tried 3 different hump batteries, so I know this is not the issue, plus they all operate the throttle servo with no issues perfectly. The steering servo won’t move in either direction now, almost like power is not getting to it or it simply stopped working. Do they go bad? Any suggestions as to what may have happened? If I need to change the servo, should I upgrade the part? As Always, Thanks JAM
