RE: what 2.4GHz?
I need a new tx/rx for my rustler also mine doesnt seem to be very reliable at times. I would like it if I could get a waterproof rx though.

Some pics I took of my rustler with the talons. The front caster blocks almost look like blue calipers behind the wheels lol. I like how they are taller also ill get some pictures once I get my new vxl prographix body. Which color should I paint it? Im thinking orange.

Yup it might make it a tad better but still wobbles. Is there a better one we can buy or maybe I would get lucky with a new one? Will the e-revo one work? Maybe with a jato spur cause it looks bigger the hub that is.

Thats a good idea. I also have an issue with the spur wobbling I tried to sand the slipper pads a little thinking one might be thicker then the others but it still does it. I tried another spur and it does the same thing so I might have to try a slipper rebuild kit I dont know.

Used the same ones that came out of it. The ones that hold on the wheelie bar mount were the ones that had issues and 1 of the ones that hold on the gear cover.

1 of them never really tightened up and 2 others barely tighten. Time for an aluminum tranny case.

I did not put much effort into them at all the plastic just sucks lol. I might of tried

RE: Thinking about going to nitro.
Looked around a lot bit still have some questions. I heard a lipo was best to use in the starter controller if so how many cells and mah? What about the batteries for the rx does everyone just run aa's in those or change to somethin else? Just want to know some good things to get so if I get one I can get it all in 1 order. What are some good upgrades to start out with?

I would keep them going the direction they suppose to go. Not sure it makes too much difference on a RC though. On cars it helps with hydroplaning and helps with stopping.

I do a lot of street driving also and with the bigger diameter they should be faster then the dirthawgs also. The truck seemed slower with the dirthawgs.

I didnt like the proline dirt hawgs so ordered some talons. The dirt hawgs wouldnt do crap in the grass even freshly cut just too low of profile. The stock tires did much better in the grass then they did.

RE: Now many converted from nitro to electric
I currently have a rustler vxl trying to decide if I want to sell for a nitro revo or brushless e-revo. The good lipo's are so freakin expensive and I hate to run my electric in any type of wet conditions. I also hate to wait on batteries to charge and I even have a good charger. I dont get much time and the other day I wanted to go for a quick run b4 dark but by the time my battery got charged it was too dark. I still cant decide I like to tinker and im pretty good with engines so thinking about giving nitro a try or save up for the Baja 5t.
