RE: Throttle ratchet?
the problem will begins sometimes when you have an airplane that requirs 2-3 clicks to land...sometimes when you have heli version you will not be happy not knowing how many clicks you have in that moment...i fly helis too and i have both 10CG, for helis and airplanes...and in the end i prefer Airplane version, much more easy to land and make my 50CC hover.

RE: 100cc Extra 300 ARF QB
Rocco/Mark do you think a hitec 7950 will be enough for using one per half wing?. I want to start to save money and buy parts for the bigger brother of my 50cc Extra. Hopefully i will get it in a few months. I was thinking 7950 on the ailerons(one per half wing), 7955 on elevators and one 7950 on rudder, powered by a DLE111. Not sure about the power of the system but want to start with the first parts that i mentioned here. Regards

spinner installed, i love it, increible fast shipping from Azure and the cut of the spinner to fit my Xoar is really impressive. I just drilled the holes on the backplate with my jib, did some turns with the cone and the back plate to make it a little rough and did like 4 tanks and no problem...never moved.

RE: AeroWorks Edge 540T 46-60?
well yesterday was a good day for me, tested finally the 14x6 propellers on my Edge with the .81 alpha... wow this propeller makes the bird hover nice!!! and for long time, of course it doesnt go up after, just hit the elevator and go horizontal to leave hover, but really nice...finally i can practice more hovers, time do it from a few feet on the ground :)

RE: DA-50R vs DLE-55
a friend crash 3 times on his yak due a dead stick on his DA, he sent everytime the engine to inspect and service....then the same dead stick, same happen, inverted and hover. He was so tired to buy airframes that he just installed a DLE55, of course he never told us cause he was always saying that DL was a cheap engine. At least he understood that blink doesnt give more power. He really know how to fly his 150cc Extra and the yak, also engine tune...but maybe was bad luck. Right now no more dead sticks.

put the needle on the TOM 1.5 advice...then peak the high, check the low for good transitions... you will hear on the air if is poping or not.

the carb mode. Well is sometimes difficult to get the screwdriver in place when you are tuning the carg with the engine running, so this helps to keep it in place, safe and no cowling removes again.

my friend one question... you have 2 servos per elevators right? did you check if both has exactly the same throw?. Check with a gauge to see if both has exactly the same degrees when you move it. Hope that CG helps you on the issue. good luck.

RE: Set up Help
meek, check the CG again then...is really simple, as Jake told you go inverted...if you need to put "down" you are fine..if the airplane goes up is tailheavy. I did have one airplane tailheavy one time and believe me it was a scary on landings.

RE: Set up Help
mmm i checking the manual of my 30% Extra and elevator has 12 degres at low rate and im using 30% expo there. One question let me know whats your subtrimes in that channels. Do you have your arm at 90 degress? at center stick When your nose(airplane nose) is going up at low speed means that you are really tail heavy, i should check also that point.

RE: Air vs. Heli radios
correct..., the only problem that i see in my 20 years of flying is(personally) when you have a heli radio and want to fly a big gasser, sometimes on langinds its a little bad when you dont have the ratchet throttle stick.... some people know how many "clicks" needs to land the airplane or just to start the engine, something than heli radios you will never know where is the position of the stick. Then on AIR side..when you fly helis...the ratchet stick makes a little difficult if you want to be at exactly the same altittude on hovers... case one click can make a difference, without it is more easy. I was using a 7C heli radio for my 500ESP and 450, when i got my gasser it was a nightmare.......then order a 10CG AIR and hovers etc was a little weird lol. But im a little on the perfection side...so its just a pesonal opinion.
