If price and performance are good I may have to get another Savage in the future.

RE: 450 Clone setup, HELP!
First off, double check to make sure you have correctly assembled the heli, not saying you have not but some of the instructions that come with these helis are not the best in the world. If you built the 450 properly (ball ends in correct spots on servo horns, correct linkage lengths etc) and know for sure your swash was level, It sounds like a servo or two may need to be reversed. Make sure you have your radio switched so the motor is off turn on the radio and make sure heli is powered and check as follows. Push the throttle up slowly, swash should remain level as it raises as you raise the throttle, basically the three servos that attach to the swash should all push up on the swash plate. If one or more are pushing down, reverse those servos on your radio so they push up. If they all push up but not at the same rate, you will need to check and adjust end points on servos that are not throwing properly. Every setup is different so make adjustments according to your heli, someone elses settings for the same set up can be a good starting point, but in no way guarantee they will work right for you.

RE: I want to run my baja with no exhaust. what could I use to stop stuff from getting in the engine?
It won't run properly without any exhaust. Lack of back pressure will affect performance in a real bad way.

RE: BAJA SRT4 100cc gasoline twin cylinder 2-stroke 1/4 scale
What do you guys think?
That is one of the coolest looking RC's I have ever seen. Love the dual exhaust setup. Absolutely beautiful. The way the body fits as well, looks incredible. I cannot believe that beast of a mill and its brethren fit under the bod. Very scale, very clean. Great job man, looks great. Can't wait to see vids of it running!! Great work

RE: Horsepower and other stuff info about the hpi baja sc please.
You will fully enjoy the SC. It is nimble, quite quick stock (I have the kit version) and can be started with the body on, although it is easier with it off. My tires have held up very well but I only run in the dirt. My only problem to this point has been a stripped spur which I have now replaced with steel. Great rig, and great HPI reliability. You gonna love the SC.

RE: STOLEN 1/4 scale DRAGSTER
I've been checking LHS's on LI that I frequent and passed along the word to them. Hopefully something turns up for you. In this hobby there are simply vehicles, then there are examples like this. Obviously this was a labor of love, I hope you find a happy resolution to this.

RE: HPI 4WD Baja 5SC. SAY WHAT?
Only time will tell. The Losi pics look nice, but the Baja has already proven to be a tough platform. Hopefully the Losi is a great platform and does well. The more manufacturers that succeed, the better it will be for us.

RE: HPI 4WD Baja 5SC. SAY WHAT?
The pic is definitely an SC nose clip unless they changed the Blitz decals to look like the SC decals. That is exactly what the headlight decals look like on my SC.

RE: HPI Racing Releases the Baja 5SC today!!
I have an 5SC and the truck is a blast. I am a basher, not a racer and outside of the usual suspects (chewed plastic spur and the like) the baja chassis is known for I have had no problems. The body does take a beating though. The rear wheels tend to hit the body and chew it up pretty good. Truck jumps really nice and really handles abuse nicely though. My only suggestion would be definitely change the pipe. The HPI pipe is loud as hell and does little for performance.

RE: Good 1/5 scale monster truck
I had an FG MT and an MCD MT. I sold both some time ago. If I have one regret it was selling my FG MT. It was an absolute blast, and quite tough with minimal upgrading.

RE: Just a heads up for those planning on buying A Baja SC Kit
I hear ya. I was pretty disappointed with the missing parts. I guess this is a pretty wide spread issue that HPI failed to get a handle on. I was hoping to take it out over the weekend for break in and some runs. Now I will not even have the parts till early next week.

Just a heads up for those planning on buying A Baja SC Kit
Hey all, just a little heads up. Apparently some kits have been sent out missing a few parts. It also seems they are missing the same parts. Enough so that HPI support informed me of other parts I was missing when I informed them of one part I did not recieve. The parts will be Part # 102172 Rear Brace needed in step 43 and the entire tree #85417 Body Mount set (front and rear) needed in steps 105 and 120. If you ordered one, or are planning to, when you get it check for these parts so if they are missing you can request them and get your build done quicker.

RE: which large scale should i get?
Having been into the large scales a while back (had FG Marder and MT, MCD Baja 1000 and some clones) I am getting back into it again. My research all pointed me to HPI Baja's and I wanted similar things that you did. A friend has 2 baja's, a 5B and 5T. He has a blast with both and has relatively little downtime with them. He beats them without mercy and while parts do break, considering the weight and what he does with them, it is hard not to recommend the HPI Baja line. Most LHS's have parts in stock as well and the after market is quite huge for them. I just ordered a 5B SS and SC kit based on having driven his rides and also seeing what he does to them. I would also heavily recommend FG's as well though. While they do need a bit of upgrading (metal gears and carrier) they were pretty damn tough and reliable if not a bit outdated. You can also get parts from some LHS's depending on what yours carry. I did like my MCD Baja however parts are not readily available in the states and if something goes down you will be waiting for parts.
