RE: Which Truggy for Christmas?
Wait for the Mugen MBX6T. That would make a nice X-Mas present. I expect it under my tree.

RE: .28 vs. .21
Man, I've tried a few engines in the truggy but why does this Mach 427 keep making it's way back? I'm a firm believer in the Mach. Now if someone could put a wicked mod on the Mach 427 we'd have something that everyone could run! [:D][:)]

Wow JB Comp, in a month you've really become a believer (and expert) in the 0% nitro thing. I'm impressed. [:D]

Mach 427 bearings?
I'm not finding the bearing sizes on the Mach 427. I'm thinking maybe ceramics. [:)]

RE: Whats the Best .27 or .28
The Mach 427, Mach 26 (not SS), and the Sportwerks 26 are good engines (all the same engine) but they are all .26's, NOT .27s or .28s. Although for the money, you can't beat these engines.

Wow, really early for even preorder don't ya think? I mean I could understand preorders on the buggy, but the truggy? We haven't even seen it pop up yet. Kinda funny really.

Man, I hope we're not too far away from the MBX6T. I can't wait. Many think it'll come shortly after the buggy. 1 month? 2 months? 6 months? [8|]

RE: Best tires for loosing track?
I'm with 2D. My Panther Gators 38 series (on LPR wheels) soft/med compound have been by far the best truggy tire I've run. I think they'd do very well at your track.

RE: New Tamiya Truggy
Hey Nik, I appreciate the post! I wasn't aware of Tamiya's latest truggy. Unlike some spoiled brat wanna-be expert with a bad attitude, I appreciate the fact that you've posted pics. [;)] I think Tamiya has what it takes to be competitive in this scene. As RedBaron8 said, all they need now is a helluva good driver and their truggy could gain some respect. As long as they don't have major issues out of the box as some do and the price is competitive this could be great for the truggy scene. [:D]

RE: Hobby affected by high gas price, unemployment??
Europeans pay less for (actual) gas than Americans. Americans aren't taxed nearly as much on gas. But, we (Americans) pay more for the actual gasoline. http://www.babeled.com/2008/06/02/us-versus-european-gas-prices/ I think twice now before I get into my truck and go 50 miles to the nearest race track. It hasn't stopped me yet, but I still think twice about it.

RE: Go Tech 7p for Losi Eight Buggy
Yeah, I have the OS .21 VG and put that carb on my GO 7 Port. I've been through 2 GO carbs. I think they need to work on that department. I believe the Losi HT pipe is a midrange pipe much like the 053. Correct me if I'm wrong (anyone), but it should work well. I've been using it and seems fine for me. I think the GO 7 Port is plenty engine for the 8ight. Like Mabuecker said, there are a handful of us in this area that have the GO 7 Port and are liking it so far. A few bugs have been worked out, but for the most part it's a great engine. If you have a LHS that is not carrying the GO engines I'd suggest asking them to make the phone call and get a few in stock. Racefactor seems to be a mom and pop distributor; they are very helpful and deal with you on a personal level. Check out their contingency program. It's a great deal!

RE: Ofna Chrome Top 10250 with Losi Eight Buggy
I use the Ofna chrome top with my 8ight. I have the Race Roller and didn't dremel anything. I have to set my 8ight almost all the way over to one side but it works good, no problems. If I didn't have a Mugen truggy to start too, I'd just get the 8ight starter box and be done with it.

Just buy the 3 port Go Tech engine for $125. I've read nothing but good things about it.

RE: Official Thread for the Go 21 Engine
Ok, a little update. I threw on the carb from my old OS 21 VG and it cut the temps down a bunch. I let the GO rip up and down the street for a while and leaned it out to a decent tune. The highest temp I have yet to see is 262F. It's running fairly consistant around 230-240F. I think I found the culprit, but I'll continue to test it out and report back.

RE: is the O.S 21vg a good engine?
Mine lasted 2 gallons tops. Why they went to a "new advanced bi-metallic liner" I'll never know. But OS has to know that they have longevity issues with this motor (after all my emails). Ooooopsie! They'll never admit that one. It did run great for that 2 gallons though. It held a tune and had some great power. It also idled very well. But I won't buy another. I won't even fork out another $50 for the P & S.

RE: Official Thread for the Go 21 Engine
We have 2 other temp guns confirming the temps. Another guy was running a SW .26 and it was reading around 215F the whole day. I actually did use the spit test but it took a few seconds to vaporize. Since my last post I've switched the carb out with my OS carb but haven't tried it yet. So I'll report back. [;)]

RE: Official Thread for the Go 21 Engine
Well, I put around 10 tanks through the 7 port today and a buddy has around 20 tanks through his and we're having identical problems. When we began to lean a little for a better tune we saw temps jump up around 300 degrees F! [>:] We then tried to fatten them up and find that we can get temps down around 230-240 but they run like crap. Way too rich. We both have years of expericence and have broken in many many engines and we're both stumped. I know they are tight, very tight engine but wow! Is this a common experience with GO engines? I've never had an engine want to run so hot. I'm not diggin' the high temps. I'm wondering if we both got a batch of the "bad carb" engines. My serial number is US0000624, and his is only about 6 down the line from mine. They have composite carbs. But anyway, I'm wondering what you all think.

Hey guys, the OS P6 should be fine for the turbo 7 port right? It was the only hot plug the LHS had. It fits fine correct?

RE: z9100t buggy steering
Some guys are having issues using weaker servos for throttle/brake in the 8ights. I personally fried a JR 650 and believe I took all the precautious steps not to. I've since been running a JR 9100s and I haven't had a problem in the last 2 gallons. I trust that it's a stronger servo along with everything else that keeps the 8ights from killing servos. See you Saturday night! [:D]

Yep, Performance Devices. I got a set from him and they are good tires. They hold up very well and I thought the traction was good. These are the tires but they came with "Performace Devices" wheels and glue. http://cgi.ebay.com/X-Pattern-2-1-8-Buggy-Tires-iNTEGY_W0QQitemZ140214695274QQcmdZViewItem

I have Panther 38 Series Switches (Clay compound) and love em! I've had them a while and there's lots of tread left. They hook up perfectly at the local indoor track, which is clay. :-)
