RE: my backdraft 8e!
leaking issues mainly, running a tekin motor in it i would have to pull them after 2 7 min quals and redo them. I did end up putting grease in them and that helped but didnt get the performance i needed hence the changed to another company. I did manage to keep it together for a few club races before stepping out with it for one major. It took 4th in the b main with it.

RE: my backdraft 8e!
Just rebuilt mine after running my Caster Racing all summer. i went a differernt route. I tossed in a 13.5 sensored motor and an 80 amp hobby wing esc. Running 3s lipo the thing is just as much nuts as it was on 4s and the 8th scale motors. I have retired my redcat due to diff issues. I now running the white associated grease in front and rear and the thicker black grease in the middle. My 3 year old is having a blast with it.

RE: my backdraft 8e!
Take your time and check screws first. Especially the lower shock screws lost a ton of them. Also check the hub screws.

RE: BackDraft8e body updates
to make the red brighter back it with white first. Then do the black. It will prevent the black from darkening the red to a maroon.

Mine are still holding, the buggy is now my backyard basher but when raced it held on fine. Makes turning on and off and checking temps simple and no dang clips to fuss with

In my opinion, lose the body mounts and get some velcro and mount the body to the side guard rails.

RE: Pretty cool new 1/10 scale 4wd buggy??
I just ordered this kit last week, upon arrival ill be doing a build up, Ill be using hte bfast diff kits, Mantisworx camber kit, gen ace lipos, Diggity Designs carbon fiber upper bracers, rcshox 2 stage pistons and will roll on the new AKA rebar tires super soft( 4 weeks waiting for these). This kit is my first 4wd 10th scale buggy, ran mainly on road till this summer, Picked up a cheaper basher buggy, then Got the Caster EX1.5 pro and that thing has been a dream, one broken part so far that was my fault(bad driving). Cant wait for this ride for the winter indoor.

RE: Banana Connectors Changing Out ?
Yours lasted longer than mine did. I got one charge and it started smoking. I went with deans and a hobbyking charger. IT charges 4 battery up to 10 amp each so just a nice charger. I run 2 s in my 1/8th scale and saddles in my 1/10th scale. MY sc when my sponser release will also be a saddle pack so one charger for all three of my cars. Yeah deans are nice, found a place in St. Louis called Gateway electronics, they have a a connected called a power pull. Going to be switching this winter to them. Similiar to a deans but once connected it clicks and lock so no more bouncing deans off after 5 minutes in a ten minute main( happened this weekend forgot to use a ziptie).

http://casterracingusa.com/product.php?productid=858&cat=61&page=1 Sick set up and Mantisworks does alot of the other one off pieces for the items you would need. Also Caster Racing support forums are filled with top notch factory driver and helpful as most or if not more than others factory sites.

had 2 motors do that and went with a tekin system and its was to much for that buggy. might try a 1700 kv motor or such in the redcat.

hows your gear mesh. Also check to make sure nothing is binding after you reassembled after diff work. I had done that and wore out the front outdrive shaft cup.

RE: Help me tame my Aftershock 8E
buy used from the for sale portion of rc forums. This way you can get a few cheap and find out what works. Then once you know you can lay down for the new ones. But i have been picking up aka and panther tires this week and got some good proline caliber and holeshots last week. Big race this weekend going to see what my little blitz will handle.

RE: Esc from BD8e
ok ill just desoldier thier and make one single attachment. Update, i have done this and now working perfectly. So if anyone has an itch the 80amp esc will be able to run 2s with just a single connection. I shorted my wires down a bit < i hate having a wire mess. Blitz is up and running. Redcat is retired.

RE: fs-gt3b reverse controls....
RX8 you have to use the programmer and reverse the motor that way. simple click is all it take. The steering is just setting it to reverse via the controller. The tekin start up guide walks your through if you dont have the hotlink available.

RE: Earthquake 8e Extending wheelbase?
http://www.integy.com/st_prod.html?p_prodid=5047&p_catid=108 26mm offset, they would slide on and drop the pin in like the redcats but instead of a rubber oring to lock it in, there is a set screw that you should locktite. Seems like it might help. Not to badly priced either.

Pretty much any buggy wheel will fit, tires all depends on what you are running on. Clay, loose dirt, hard pack groove, the choices are endless. If racing i suggest hitting the local track and talk to some of the racers they will offer up a suggestion or 2
