Sumo 1/24 brushless motors
I want to modify my Sumo 1/24 truggy to brushless. I already got 2.4GHz radio , receiver, 18Amp ESC and front steering servo compatible with that ESC. I want to buy a brushless motor which will fit . I went to local GREAT HOBBIES store and they told me that I should find something on EBAY :) On youtube there are few videos of modifications made but all I cold find is 5200kV motor which is approximatelly 30000rpm at 6v on AA batteries. But I do not know which motor would fit that frame ????

1/24 SUMO metal steering knuckles
Recently i bought a 2 (SCALE 1/24 RedcatRacing SUMO ) truggys and after few hits to the steering assembly same part (Steering knuckles) failed on both units. Then I bought another truck for parts and after few hits again same part failed. I emailed Redcat Racing support with the issue. I thought they might to accept this as a recall, BUT, instead they want to make money on alloy parts and suggested to upgrade my plastic parts to metal parts. Just 2 front (Steering knuckles ) in alloy for 69.99 USD. In my opinion it is way to much, since I get my Sumo cars for 49.99 each. Instead I got some brass tubbing brass rod , soldering iron, spent 2 hours of my life and made these myself. I did not upgraded to bearings yet and used original plastic sleeves they exactly fit inside the brass tube on the picture and axle rotates inside sleeves. Please see my pictures so you might get idea how to make it if you need it or pay 69,99 for OEM.

RE: 1/24 sumo truggy
I have same issue with 2 SUMO trucks. Steering Knuckle is a weak spot. They have aluminum knucles at 69.99 a pair or you can make your own if you have some soldering skils and brass tubing ( can get this in any hobby store) Please check my post with pictures here : http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10834762/tm.htm Jack
